This 10 x 10 room off the main living area closes off with double doors when used as a guest room, but is open most of the time. The decor here therefore must work with that of the living area. We kept it simple and minimal: a chunky sleep sofa , with a side table that is a perfect surface for tablet or laptop, and works as a night table when needed; a good task light; and a gorgeous Italian lacquered chest for clothes. The blue and pink accents continue the colour scheme of the living room.

The Robinhood Residence is a small house renovation for a family that loves the scale and quaint setting of their home, but was quickly outgrowing its dated appearance and storage allowance. The main tasks for Content were creating a clear organization and simple flow to the home while bringing cohesion to the previous renovations. Custom cabinet pieces were designed for new storage and room focal points. A balance was struck, opening up visibility between rooms while maintaining the client's beloved elements from a quirky mid century renovation.

We had fun incorporating our client’s Asian art and antiques that are highlighted in both living areas. Paired with a mix of neutral textures and tones we set out to create a casual California style reflective of its surrounding landscape and the winery brand.

We found this one-of-a-kind marble mosaic that would blend all of the warmer tones with the cooler tones and provide a focal point to the space. We filled in the drop-in bath tub and made it a seamless walk-in shower with a linear drain. The brass plumbing fixtures play off of the warm tile selections and the black bath accessories anchor the space. We were able to match their existing travertine flooring and finish it off with a simple, stacked subway tile on the two adjacent shower walls. We smoothed all of the drywall throughout and made simple changes to the vanity like swapping out the cabinet hardware, faucets and light fixture, for a totally custom feel. The walnut cabinet hardware provides another layer of texture to the space.

This kitchen replaced the one original to this 1963 built residence. The now empty nester couple entertain frequently including their large extended family during the holidays. Separating work and social spaces was as important as crafting a space that was conducive to their love of cooking and hanging with family and friends. Simple lines, simple cleanup, and classic tones create an environment that will be in style for many years. Subtle unique touches like the painted wood ceiling, pop up island receptacle/usb and receptacles/usb hidden at the bottom of the upper cabinets add functionality and intrigue. Ample LED lighting on dimmers both ceiling and undercabinet mounted provide ample task lighting. SubZero 42” refrigerator, 36” Viking Range, island pendant lights by Restoration Hardware. The ceiling is framed with white cove molding, the dark colored beadboard actually elevates the feeling of height. It was sanded and spray painted offsite with professional automotive paint equipment. It reflects light beautifully. No one expects this kind of detail and it has been quite fun watching people’s reactions to it. There are white painted perimeter cabinets and Walnut stained island cabinets. A high gloss, mostly white floor was installed from the front door, down the foyer hall and into the kitchen. The room features a stunning wooden wall with a single wooden shelf, adding warmth and natural texture to the space. A sleek concrete bar wraps the area, providing ample space for entertaining and serving drinks. The concrete finish adds a touch of industrial style to the space, complementing the natural wood tones and creating a sense of balance and harmony in the room. Simple pendant lights hang above the bar, providing ample task lighting and adding a touch of modern sophistication to the space. The lights serve as a visual anchor in the room, drawing the eye upward and highlighting the natural materials and sleek design elements. Overall, the basement bar with a wooden wall, concrete bar, and simple pendant lights is a beautiful and functional space that seamlessly blends form and function, creating a cozy and modern atmosphere for entertaining and socializing.

We've created an interior that became the embodiment of the main principles of our studio: modernity, functionality, democracy and honesty. The use of natural colors and simple shapes made it possible to visually expand the space of a small apartment. The task of interior solutions - successfully resolve life is to master the lifestyle, make elegant and robust framework for everyday life scenarios for young families. Not to activate the space, but to make it possible to fill a new home. Each design solution creates a story from life that recreates happiness and family comfort.

“Maximizing storage space and counter space was simple in this galley kitchen,” says kitchen designer, Trish Machuga. The white cabinets and the window over the sink make for a very bright kitchen.
