Revamping the laundry room brings a blend of functionality and style to an often-overlooked space. Upgrading appliances to energy-efficient models enhances efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
Custom cabinetry and shelving solutions maximize storage for detergents, cleaning supplies, and laundry essentials, promoting an organized and clutter-free environment. Consideration of ergonomic design, such as a folding counter or ironing station, streamlines tasks and adds a touch of convenience.
Thoughtful lighting choices, perhaps with LED fixtures or natural light sources, contribute to a bright and inviting atmosphere. Flooring upgrades for durability, such as water-resistant tiles or easy-to-clean materials, can withstand the demands of laundry tasks.
Ultimately, a remodeled laundry room not only elevates its practical functionality but also transforms it into a well-designed, efficient space that makes the often-dreaded chore of laundry a more pleasant experience.

An avid lover of nature, this client wished to bring the outdoors in and enliven a dingy, outdated kitchen from the ground up. Touches of modern Victorian eclectic suited her style: a bold botanical wallpaper, oil-rubbed bronze shelf brackets and a moss green glass tile paired with stainless steel appliances. The warm tones of the cherry base cabinets compliment the refinished, oak floors. White, frosted glass fronted upper cabinets as well as a fresh casement window help open up the space. Simple, well-positioned light fixtures add much needed ambient and task lighting.

A compact wood table and chairs sit beside the kitchen entrance, with a dark task lamp and a tall white floor lamp offering different lighting options. White walls and wood floors keep the nook light and warm. The nearby black-and-oak railing continues the home’s simple Scandinavian material palette.

Sometimes, all it takes is a few simple pieces to achieve work-life balance. Meet Callum, a collection modeled on campaign furniture (finely crafted pieces designed to fold up easily to accompany British officers on military campaigns). With their clean lines, fresh, light finish and brushed brass-plated hardware, the Callum desk, file cabinets, bookcase, and library are built to stay, transforming any room into a handsome workspace. A leather task chair adds style and comfort.

A simple large media room is more of a multi-tasking space! Enough room to use it however your family sees fit!! We added a bistro table area for games and drinks, plus big overstuffed seating to match the big TV!!! All furniture from Calamity Jane's Trading Co. - Boerne, Texas.

For this master bathroom remodel, we were tasked to blend in some of the existing finishes of the home to make it modern and desert-inspired. We found this one-of-a-kind marble mosaic that would blend all of the warmer tones with the cooler tones and provide a focal point to the space. We filled in the drop-in bath tub and made it a seamless walk-in shower with a linear drain. The brass plumbing fixtures play off of the warm tile selections and the black bath accessories anchor the space. We were able to match their existing travertine flooring and finish it off with a simple, stacked subway tile on the two adjacent shower walls. We smoothed all of the drywall throughout and made simple changes to the vanity like swapping out the cabinet hardware, faucets and light fixture, for a totally custom feel. The walnut cabinet hardware provides another layer of texture to the space.

-Inspiration and Design Challenges
The Original kitchen in this 1970’s raised ranch was bright an open yet left the dining room closed off from the home and wasn’t large enough for the island that Joe and his wife would have liked. Joe and Tim from THI Co. had developed a plan relocate the kitchen to one exterior wall and allow for an island that would function for both seating and entertaining. The challenge we faced was the original windows of the kitchen had to completely go. Relying solely on the open floor plan for natural light, Tim opened up the Dining room wall, removed the dividing half wall to the family room and widened doorways to the great room leading from the kitchen and dining room. The removal of the soffits and consistent wood flooring help tie together the adjacent rooms. The plan was for simple clean lines with subtle detail brought out in the trim on the cabinetry and custom 10ft island back panel. Finding a set of appliances was the next task. The kitchen was designed with the intention of being used. The Whirlpool convection wall ovens give the kitchen 3 possible functioning ovens with along with the Samsung 5 burner range. The end result is a simple elegant design that has all the functionality of galley kitchen yet the feel of an open kitchen with twice the square footage.

A compact built-in desk creates a functional home office nook tucked seamlessly into the kitchen layout. White shiplap walls, a simple oak shelf, and a quartz work surface keep the space light and uncluttered, while warm wood tones add balance and warmth. Designed for everyday tasks without sacrificing flow.

The clients wanted a small, simple pool house to compliment their historic farmhouse and provide abundant capabilities for outdoor entertaining. They settled on a small, open structure with a vaulted cedar ceiling and task/ambient lighting. An outdoor kitchen, a covered seating area, a storage/changing room and an all-weather Azek pergola with party-lighting were included. A structural retaining wall was needed to provide level ground for both the in-ground pool and pool house, along with strategically planted ornamental grasses for privacy. The green standing seam roof, sliding barn door, board & batten siding and period-correct trim all mirror details from the residence and detached barn.

Originally a simple log cabin, this farm house had been haphazardly added on to several times over the last century.
Our task: Design/Build a new 2 story master suite/family room addition that blended and mended the "old bones" whilst giving it a sharp new look and feel.
We also rebuilt the dilapidated front porch, completely gutted and remodeled the disjointed 2nd floor including adding a much needed AC system, did some needed structural repairs, replaced windows and added some gorgeous stonework.
