The distressed painted cabinets work to compliment the Tabarka Studio tiles not only in a seemless color scheme but also with the "new but old" rustic style. This kitchen is made complete by the copper overhead hood and steel crown moulding.

Located near Ennis, Montana, this cabin captures the essence of rustic style while maintaining modern comforts.
Jack Watkins’ father, the namesake of the creek by which this home is built, was involved in the construction of the Old Faithful Lodge. He originally built the cabin for he and his family in 1917, with small additions and upgrades over the years. The new owners’ desire was to update the home to better facilitate modern living, but without losing the original character. Windows and doors were added, and the kitchen and bathroom were completely remodeled. Well-placed porches were added to further integrate the interior spaces to their adjacent exterior counterparts, as well as a mud room—a practical requirement in rural Montana.
Today, details like the unique juniper handrail leading up to the library, will remind visitors and guests of its historical Western roots.

Excerpt via our website ~ The Gibraltar Cabin is a clever little cabin design that includes a porch with a very attractive eye-catching barrel arch at the entrance. The single door is complimented by an additional five foot wide double door on the gable end. The elegant country charm is achieved with the large barn sash windows and rustic board and batten siding and is protected by a green corrugated metal roof.

Rustic cabin nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, NC. The cabin is a riff on the Appalachian culture and its architecture. Built as if it rose from the local woods, by local craftsmen with the tradition of seat-of-the-pants resourcefulness. The cabin echoes the Appalachian traditions of small is beautiful, and richness in simplicity.
Reclaimed Heart Pine flooring. Cypress wall panelling with nickel groove. Polywhey low VOC floor finish from Vermont Natural Coatings.

The objective was to design a unique and rustic, cabin with historical and vernacular forms and materials. The Hermitage is designed to portray the story of a reclusive hermit building a secluded mountain camp slowly over time. A hierarchy of opposing but relative forms and materials illustrate this additive method of construction. Photo by Matt Waclo.
