The basement of this home has everything - candy bar, open theater room, pool table, air hockey table, 4 way television, and a full kitchen plus dining area. Barn wood on the candy bar is amazing. It also features a beer bottle chandelier! Custom made couches make the theater room cozy, functional and inviting!

Objectives · Functional work triangle · 42” height snack bar for 4 · Tall storage · Contemporary styling · Tall clients = tall work surfaces Design Challenges · A step-down family room, client wanted it to be converted to the kitchen · Room was narrow and long. Client wanted to add an island and tall storage · Large window looked out onto neighbor’s back yard · Garage door/entry, landed right into kitchen Design Solutions · Raised the floor, move/add all mechanical · Galley kitchen put all appliances on one wall · 38”height counters on appliance wall made a comfortable working height for the tall clients · Shallow cabinets were installed on the kitchen side of the Island/snack bar at 42”height, with 12” over hang backside for 4 chairs ·Tall pantry cabinets for china, small appliances, food and brooms/vacuums storage, 12 feet in length and 15 inches deep ·Remove a large window and install 112” X 18” awing window in back splash. While giving up the unneeded view, it retained the natural light · Added a bench and hooks by the garage door for coats and purses Special Features · Contemporary style with walnut wood and gloss-lacquer cabinets · Black granite counter with 3.5” mitered edge, add the extra height the client requested · Ash Wood (stained to match the walnut cabinets) counter top on island with live edge · Brown marble tile back splash to blend with the tile elsewhere in the home · Unique custom storage: tip up cabinet doors, pull out with containers for knives and utensils, Servo-drive double waste basket · Hands-free faucet, bling pendant lights

An island was incorporated in this basement bar. Access to the pool is on the right side and the entertaining space is the left. The island allowed for more storage, raised seating, and access from either the entertaining space or the pool with ease. Dark stained maple cabinets were used with a white quartz countertop. Polished chrome hardware was added and the contrast is striking. A pantry was incorporated on the right side for snack storage.

This is a photo of the pool house snack bar, immediately adjacent to the pool pavilion in the rear & the pool. The windows are removable sliding & stacking left & right, allowing for a completely open bar and views of the rear yard, pool area. Above the snack bar is the master bedroom breakfast nook located under the high copper clad dome, all a part of the master bedroom suite above.

Snack bar has built in under- the- counter fridge, microwave and bar sink.

This dynamic Theater room was constructed by our crew from start to finish. We created multi level seating area with theater chairs. Then went to work on the Asthertics with charcoal paint colors, lighting sconces and LED lighting. Completing the look with custom sound panels. We set this theater up with a Dragonfly screen and Sony projector. Then added the Marantz powered Dolby Atmos system for a fully immersive theater experience.. The Cherry on top was the custom snack bar we built in the back for easy access to snacks and bevareges during the movie!
