This backwoods lodge is nothing short of a true mountain retreat. Hand Hewn Timbers and Locus Railing set the framework for the wrap-around porch overlooking the lake. Our custom cabinetry team crafted the kitchen cabinets, bar top and bathroom vanities. The inside on this home features a variety of our wall and ceiling materials. The walls are lined with our painted Barn Wood, Hayley Bark and Veneers. The vaulted ceiling is outfitted with our mixed Barn Wood to tie in the color variety and texture across the entire home. Powder room - coastal gray tile and subway tile light wood floor and beige floor powder room idea in Orange County with furniture-like cabinets, light wood cabinets, a one-piece toilet, an undermount sink and white countertops

Instead of installing new vanities in this modern-day log home, antique furnishings were fitted with sinks. Soft curved lines and a combination of mirrors help reflect natural light keeping this space nice, bright and feminine. This is a modified Pleasant Grove design, built with 6x12 Traditional Solid Kiln-Dried Logs, manufactured by Timberhaven Log & Timber Homes.

This dining and kitchen space in a wabi-sabi lakeside retreat designed by PKA Architecture and Yond Interiors is grounded by antique elm flooring, with antique elm ceiling paneling and box beams carrying the same warm tone overhead. A long dining table with leather and rush-seat chairs sits beneath layered pendant lighting, while a wood-toned kitchen with open shelving and a wood bench divider with black steel columns continue the home's natural, restrained palette. French doors open to a patio and wooded view beyond.
Our antique elm flooring, ceiling paneling, and box beams are milled from barn timbers dating from 1820 to 1880, carrying unique marks such as wormholes, peg holes, and mortise pockets left behind by centuries old woodworking. Because widespread Dutch Elm Disease in the 1970s made new elm nearly impossible to find, reclaimed elm remains one of the only ways to bring its warm, inviting tones into a home. The natural hues of reclaimed elm are bright and comforting, showing tans, light browns, and a subtle tinge of red that gives the wood an almost iridescent shimmer, embodying the wabi-sabi appreciation for natural imperfection and the passage of time.
Whether you are a homebuilder, a home remodeling contractor, a homeowner, or a designer planning a dining space like this, Manomin Resawn Timbers has the antique elm flooring, paneling, and box beams to bring warmth and character to your home. We used the timber frame of a century old barn to build this rustic modern house. The barn was dismantled, and reassembled on site. Inside, we designed the home to showcase as much of the original timber frame as possible. This can best be seen on the third floor landing. The fireplace is double-sided and is in the center of the great room.

A tiled range hood and backsplash, dark stone countertops, and a decorative window with open display shelving add texture and contrast, while French doors open to a patio and lake view beyond.
