Our client had hired someone to build an accessibility ramp for the front entrance of his home. The work done was not done properly as the spacing between the boards were uneven and some spaces were too large which posed as a potential hazard. The planks of wood were also cut incorrectly; some were not utilized as full pieces to run across the joists. Client requested for us to complete an accessibility ramp in his garage which turned out beautiful with even cuts and spacing, solid stability, and accurate to the design we made for him before starting the project.

Have some fun with a super unique chalkboard! Measures 17 x 11 inches. Our chalkboards are fun to look at, durable, and are certainly a different way to remind yourself of those important things you don't want to forget! We start with a completely safe and lightweight wood product. It's made from the eucalyptus tree. Grown in sustainable tree farms, harvested, ground into pulp, and heat pressed into a board. No glue or formaldehyde used! (That kind of stuff is important to us). We cut the boards into rectangles on a table saw and paint them with high quality black paint, two coats! We want your board to withstand lots of writing and erasing! Then we send it to the laser to cleanly cut it into the final shape. Wipes off easily with a dishcloth, use a tiny dab of soap if you want to wipe away the chalkboard haze. Please "season" with chalk before you doodle! You can hang your chalkboard with Command Strips so it can be taken down and moved without harming the finish on your wall. Or choose our option to have holes in your chalkboard and hang with ribbon or jute or whatever!

Our client's carport just wasn't cutting it in the Texas heat and winter cold. They wanted to have a new closed detached garage built in the same spot. While we're at it, they wanted have some extra storage space and a nice new driveway, too! We cleared away the old carport and started on the new garage addition. The brick on the outside of their house was painted gray, so we were easily able to match the garage. A walk through door was added for easy entry without having to open the large garage door. The garage didn't take yard away from their backyard and their landscaping still closes off the garage from the pool perfectly, as if it was always there! The client wanted a better flow throughout their landscape, as well as introduce straight lines to a space to modernize the irregular shaped pool. Their upper deck was where they did a majority of their entertaining so ensuring this space was large enough for both dining and lounge was the starting point of the design. Introducing privacy from the many on looking neighbours, without completely blocking it off from the rest of their own yard was important. Laser cut privacy screens added this filtered privacy. A round hot tub was added to the back corner of the property, which otherwise seemed like wasted space. Highlighted by the privacy panels in the same pattern used on the deck to create some consistency. Trees were both maintained and added where needs along the property to add greenery and privacy. The entire space now feels open within the backyard, but private from neighbours.

The backyard has two barbecue's. One adjacent to the residence for daily use and a full entertaining barbecue area with a bar, sink, ice maker, refrigerator, outdoor dishwasher (so you don't need to carry all of your dishes so far from the house each time you entertain...all you have to do is push 'wash') and of course a large 'Q' with side burner. All of the Ashlar pattern cut stone was cut on site to my pattern, as was the entertaining barbecue back-splash. The Oceanside glass tile was selected to continue the Ashlar pattern concept. All of the pottery came from my friends at Eye of the Day. Gas heaters warm the patios from the covers, as well as, strategically placed gas quick connects around the yard for those chilly evenings. Music fills the yard and patios from discretely placed outdoor speakers. All of my projects are design with full supervision from start to finish. This bath remodel started with the desire for a mini-spa in a small footprint. With concise planning a precious 10 SF was added, ending up with 51 SF. Everything that came into the new space was new, fresh and bold. A soaker tub (22” deep) was a must. A rain shower and a hand shower gave versatile water sprays. Unique accents shine like the embossed paisley low vessel sink. The tile on the floor was bold and accented with penny-rounds in tones of grey for the niche and splash. Other extras; a storage nook was made by cutting into the hall stair cavity, a great place for linens and necessities. General lighting was increased with a larger window, and a great lighted mirror. This small spa is now bold, functional and enjoyed by these busy professionals.

The first, on Jane Street, includes a front garden, rear garden, and second floor terrace. In the rear garden a large, curved seatwall defines the space, creating a niche for the garden’s dining table and providing additional seating. Custom-made copper planters hold lush, shade-tolerant plantings backed by a cedar and copper trellis, adding warmth and texture to the walled garden. Tucked away in a corner, a compact outdoor kitchen provides the perfect spot from which to entertain. A quick walk will take attendees to 11th Street, where the design for this townhouse rear garden is structured around three outdoor rooms. The geometry of the contemporary space is softened with lush, massed plantings, while two columnar hornbeams provide height. Berry Craig, the owner of Reclaimed Wood Creations Inc. searched the country to find the right woods to make this home a reflection of his abilities and a work of art. It started as a 50 year old metal building on a ranch, and was striped down to the red iron structure and completely transformed.
