A laundry room utility sink area styled for both function and flow. A farmhouse-style sink and dark countertop create a durable workspace, while a labeled jar for detergent pods and tidy counter styling keep daily laundry tasks simple and visually clean.

White and natural wood finishes bring a clean, bright and sophisticated simplicity to this lake house kitchen. The hub for family gatherings and entertaining guests, this kitchen was expanded to enhance lake views, and remodeled to include high end design elements. The cabinetry doors are Cologne Inset with Hidden Dust Rail, and the same door style but in Nordic White along the perimeter of the kitchen. A custom concave wall hood with Plain Sawn White Oak Trim White by Wood-Mode is a unique focal point, enhanced by the herringbone stove backsplash, and brings depth to the galley style cooking area. And a second island, both made of Plain Sawn White Oak, is designed exclusively for sitting and additional storage. Clear glass light sconces allow the beauty of the cabinetry to be uninhibited and antique Brass details meld into the design. A drink station combines a wet bar and coffee station to create the ultimate drink station. Hidden below, a two-tier coffee pod drawer and under counter refrigeration. On display above, glass front floating cabinetry with integrated cabinet lighting provides elegant bottle storage, while adjacent floating shelves with undermount lighting creates a pride of place to display special selections. This coffee station lacked organization, with tea and coffee pods crammed into a single drawer. Without any dividers, finding the right item was a hassle, and the lack of visual appeal diminished the overall aesthetic of the space.

We transformed this coffee station into a sleek and functional space. Custom dividers now separate Nespresso pods by color and flavor, making them easy to access. The streamlined layout not only maximizes functionality but also complements the clean and modern design of the kitchen.

2 years after building their house, a young family needed some more space for needs of their growing children. The decision was made to renovate their unfinished basement to create a new space for both children and adults. PLAYPOD The most compelling feature upon entering the basement is the Playpod. The 100 sq.ft structure is both playful and practical. It functions as a hideaway for the family’s young children who use their imagination to transform the space into everything from an ice cream truck to a space ship. Storage is provided for toys and books, brining order to the chaos of everyday playing. The interior is lined with plywood to provide a warm but robust finish. In contrast, the exterior is clad with reclaimed pine floor boards left over from the original house. The black stained pine helps the Playpod stand out while simultaneously enabling the character of the aged wood to be revealed. The orange apertures create ‘moments’ for the children to peer out to the world while also enabling parents to keep an eye on the fun. The Playpod’s unique form and compact size is scaled for small children but is designed to stimulate big imagination. And putting the FUN in FUNctional. PLANNING The layout of the basement is organized to separate private and public areas from each other. The office/guest room is tucked away from the media room to offer a tranquil environment for visitors. The new four piece bathroom serves the entire basement but can be annexed off by a set of pocket doors to provide a private ensuite for guests. The media room is open and bright making it inviting for the family to enjoy time together. Sitting adjacent to the Playpod, the media room provides a sophisticated place to entertain guests while the children can enjoy their own space close by. The laundry room and small home gym are situated in behind the stairs. They work symbiotically allowing the homeowners to put in a quick workout while waiting for the clothes to dry. After the workout gym towels can quickly be exchanged for fluffy new ones thanks to the ample storage solutions customized for the homeowners.

Mornings just got easier! Using clear acrylic bins from iDesign, we transformed this coffee station drawer into a functional and beautiful setup. Coffee pods, sugar packets, and accessories are now neatly grouped and easy to access—no more digging through chaos. Coffee time has never looked this good!

This 1990's home, located in North Vancouver's Lynn Valley neighbourhood, had high ceilings and a great open plan layout but the decor was straight out of the 90's complete with sponge painted walls in dark earth tones. The owners, a young professional couple, enlisted our help to take it from dated and dreary to modern and bright. We started by removing details like chair rails and crown mouldings, that did not suit the modern architectural lines of the home. We replaced the heavily worn wood floors with a new high end, light coloured, wood-look laminate that will withstand the wear and tear from their two energetic golden retrievers. Since the main living space is completely open plan it was important that we work with simple consistent finishes for a clean modern look. The all white kitchen features flat doors with minimal hardware and a solid surface marble-look countertop and backsplash. We modernized all of the lighting and updated the bathrooms and master bedroom as well. The only departure from our clean modern scheme is found in the dressing room where the client was looking for a more dressed up feminine feel but we kept a thread of grey consistent even in this more vivid colour scheme. This transformation, featuring the clients' gorgeous original artwork and new custom designed furnishings is admittedly one of our favourite projects to date!
