A busy family moves to a new home stuck in the 90's in metro Boston and requests a full refresh and renovation. Lots of family friendly materials and finishes are used. Some areas feel more modern, others have more of a transitional flair. Elegance is not impossible in a family home, as this project illustrates. Spaces are designed and used for adults and kids. For example the family room doubles as a kids craft room, but also houses a piano and guitars, a library and a sitting area for parents to hang out with their children. The living room is family friendly with a stain resistant sectional sofa, large TV screen but also houses refined decor, a wet bar, and sophisticated seating. The entry foyer offers bins to throw shoes in, and the dining room has an indoor outdoor rug that can be hosed down as needed! The master bedroom is a romantic, transitional space. Transitional kitchen design using cream painted, raised panel cabinets for both the kitchen and island. The counter tops are 2 different types of quartz. Silestone for the kitchen and Cambria to provide extra movement and "pop" for the island. The backsplash is a simple glass sheet pattern, and we stuck with stainless steel for all of the appliances. Simple, bright, clean and white. Enjoy!

This space had the potential for greatness but was stuck in the 1980's era. We were able to transform and re-design this kitchen that now enables it to be called not just a "dream Kitchen", but also holds the award for "Best Kitchen in Westchester for 2016 by Westchester Home Magazine". Features in the kitchen are as follows: Inset cabinet construction, Maple Wood, Onyx finish, Raised Panel Door, sliding ladder, huge Island with seating, pull out drawers for big pots and baking pans, pullout storage under sink, mini bar, overhead television, builtin microwave in Island, massive stainless steel range and hood, Office area, Quartz counter top.

Sustainable Design Meets Smart Technology This home featured a request from the client to use as many environmentally friendly materials and fabrics as possible. Many common shade manufacturers use materials with PVC plastic, which is known for off-gassing hazardous chemicals that linger in the air in the home for years. The main floor roller shades met the client’s request for an eco-friendly fabric by utilizing motorized shades with GreenScreen fabric. In other rooms, the designer and client wanted the classic look and soft fabrics with roman shades and drapery tracks on several windows in the house. By partnering with the interior designer and fabric workroom, we were able to provide a custom solution for motorization of roman shades and drapery. Lighting Control The client is able control all of the lighting and window treatments in the house with a single control system. This eliminates the need for extra devices on the wall or remote controls that clutter up the space and get lost. By utilizing the custom window treatments, the house is able to conserve energy by keeping the house warmer in the winter, and cooler in the summer by providing insulation and blocking sunlight. The lighting control system further helps to conserve energy by beautifully dimming LED lights as well as using quick buttons that turn off all of the lights in the house, or un-occupied rooms, with the press of a single button. Motorized Window Treatments Motorized window treatments add a high level of convenience to any project, especially those with many windows in hard to reach places. The challenge with many manufacturers is a limitation of style and fabric selection, some may be as basic as only roller shades. Often times these come with un-reliable, wireless controls. On this Birmingham, MI project completed in March 2019, we partnered with the interior designer and drapery workroom to provide a truly unique solution. The homeowner and designer’s requests included many different styles of window treatments including rollers shades, roman shades and motorized draperies. Typically, this would result in a collection of various shade manufacturers with unsightly remotes scattered across each room or stuck to the wall for control. Utilizing standard offerings, coupled with an incredible team effort by the designer and drapery workroom, we provided all of the requested styles of window treatments, and were able to control them all on a single system. This means that each room has a single, elegant keypad built into the wall that controls not only the window treatments, but the lighting as well. When leaving/entering the home, all of the window coverings can be raised or lowered with a single button press. Shades and draperies can also be set to operate based on the time of day for automatic day-to-day operation using sunlight as a guide. In the end, we achieved convenience, function and sophisticated style.

With windows all around and each counter run designated with a purpose, who wouldn't love being stuck in this kitchen all day? Natural woods and painted finishes marry together and keep this kitchen relaxed and well appoined. This is an entertainers delight!

The fourth wall of the living room consists of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean. This was a feature that we wanted to accentuate and not detract from. We kept the color palette light & airy, allowing the beach to speak for itself. Finding elements that were not only stylish but also durable was crucial to the overall design and styling of this space as this doubles as a vacation rental for our client. Mixing style with functionality. We kept the original ceiling in the living room as well as the original cement accent wall in the living room. Everything else was changed. A window was added to the stair wall so that as you walk downstairs, you get a view of the ocean. The walls were painted a barely-there minty seafoam color and we stuck with a neutral color palette with pops of various shades of blues. Built-ins were installed to create a working space that doubles as extra storage.

Cabinets: We can create custom rollout drawers for those pesky deep kitchen cabinets, helpful especially on the lower shelves, as an easy way to easily access those hard to see items all the way in the back. Pantry: Kitchen organization bins can get expensive! A cheaper option is using metal or plastic file folders to store items like snacks, awkward bagged items, rolls of Pringles and more. Pans: Another cheaper solution is a metal file organizer to easily divide and store all your baking pans. Or while we are creating your custom kitchen, we can build these for you! Utensils: Ladles, spatulas, tongs and the like can be annoying in drawers when they get stuck, but you don’t want them on your countertop either. One solution is hanging a bar on your backsplash with hooks to easily store and reach utensils while cooking.

The challenge for this couple was how to transform this historic Hinsdale century home (her childhood home) into their own, while honoring its heritage. The couple had updated the fireplace and lighting, but were stuck on furniture and decor. Woven shades, which were added in the 1900's, were a jumping-off point to add organic materials: acacia and river rock c-tables, rustic dough bowl, wood bar stools, mudcloth pillows, handwoven cotton throw, a stone coffee table as well as high-top bar table. Overall, the sense of the room is light, bright, yet calm.

Designed by Mark Sleith of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with Mike Parkinson, this eclectic style kitchen remodel features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style in two finishes. The base cabinets all features the Norfolk Blue finish and the wall cabinet features a White finish. Kitchen countertops are engineered quartz by Q from MSI in the color Calacatta Trento. The tile backsplash behind the range features Artistic Tile with Blue Note Circles as well as a pot filler faucet. Said the client, "We are obsessed with our uber-chic new kitchen! Mark was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. I described my ideal space, and he designed something even better that I could have imagined. Not only did he help me create a luxe look within the confines of my budget, he stuck with me throughout every step of the project. Mark went above and beyond to create a design that captured my vision." Added Mark, "The client was amazing to work with, and had definite ideas of what she liked and did not like. She was open to suggestions, which led us to achieving her design goals. This created a great sense of accomplishment for me as I guided her through the overwhelming maze of remodeling. This homeowner had two goals: 1. Create a space with flow for entertaining. 2. Imbue it with flawless style. We helped them accomplish both. The high quality Medallion cabinetry holds it own with the polished Misterio Pental quartz on the island and the satin finish Mysore Black Pental quartz on the main counters. The farmhouse sink in the island allows the host to converse with guests while working at the sink instead of being stuck against a wall, and the bar seating allows guests to get comfortable while they enjoy their wine. The dry bar at the far end of the space makes wine and liquor storage look good while keeping the refreshments flowing at arm's reach.

The guest bathroom was stuck in a design time warp. The vanity, fixtures, and tiling were all remnants of past trends that seemed tired and less appealing. The shower/tub combo lacked the allure and comfort. John recognized the value in a cohesive design language throughout his home and chose to extend the fresh, modern aesthetic established in the master bathroom to the guest bath. The outdated vanity was replaced with the stylish Sollid Value White Shaker cabinets, and the Fairy White Quartz countertops was installed, instantly brightening the room with their polished surface and crisp, clean lines. The mirrors upgrade was significant, with the Kohler Essential mirrors lending an expansive and luxurious feel, further accentuated by the Mencino bath lights casting a welcoming glow. The Kohler Archer Soaking Tub elevated the functionality while maintaining a uniform look. The same sophisticated tile choices adorned the shower walls and niche, tying the room's design neatly back to the aesthetic of the master bath.

Our homeowner’s kitchen felt stuck in the past with honey oak cabinets that were fading and dated. They were frustrated with limited functionality—especially having to keep their microwave on the counter, eating up valuable breakfast bar space. The cabinet above the refrigerator was practically unusable due to the door swing hitting the fridge hinge and its awkward reach. We stepped in with a refacing/new cabinet hybrid solution designed to improve both style and function. We removed the old, impractical cabinets and replaced them with custom, more functional units, creating the perfect spot for a countertop microwave while freeing up workspace. The remaining cabinets were refaced in Surf SuperMatte, complete with new transitional shaker-style doors and drawers in the same Surf SuperMatte finish for a cohesive, modern look. To complete the transformation, we replaced the old laminate countertops with stunning Calacatta Miraggio Seaglass Quartz paired with a matching full-height quartz backsplash, bringing a luxurious, seamless, and easy-to-clean surface throughout the kitchen. We also added smart storage solutions, including rollouts and a blind swing-out accessory, making it easier than ever to access items without digging through cabinets. Now, this kitchen is not only brighter and more beautiful but also perfectly tailored to the homeowner’s needs and daily life.

Waiting on Glass! A tour of farmhouse was brought in through the vanity and the rest we stuck with black accents and subtle details that tie in the modern farmhouse aspects of the home.

This client contacted us when she got stuck after purchasing a sofa and dining set for formal living/dining areas of her Port Moody home. She hired us to finish the rooms and asked us to do so with a touch of glamour. We were happy to oblige! We continued with the dramatic dark wood tones of the dining set and added some bling in the form of oversized mercury glass lamps as well as lots of crystal and chrome. Luxury materials like velvet and faux crocodile skin complete the look. Calm and elegant is the essence of this project. We wanted to use as much of natural light as possible. We stuck with a neutral palette to stick with our theme and played with different textures and accents for the furnishings.

Reinterpreted "Every wall offers the opportunity to create beauty!", and so, in the interior design of this apartment, we were able to combine two of our favorite elements - wallpapers and wall trims - to achieve an elegant look. The vintage flower wallpaper is not simply applied to the wall but framed by wall trims, resulting in a particularly sophisticated appearance. The chairs were mostly existing pieces, complemented by two design classics, creating a relaxed ensemble. Diverse yet harmonious, just like the family who lives here. The sofa area was completely redesigned around an existing sofa. The television "disappears" visually into a dark marble-look wall. Two lounge chairs are now placed by the window for relaxation. ---- Altes neu interpretiert “Jede Wand bietet die Möglichkeit, Schönes zu schaffen!” – und so konnten wir beim Interior Design in dieser in die Jahre gekommenen Wohnung in Wien gleich zwei unserer Lieblingselemente – nämlich Tapeten und Wandleisten – zu einem edlen Look kombinieren. Die Vintage-Flower-Tapete kommt nicht einfach an die Wand, sondern wird von Wandleisten eingerahmt. So ergibt sich ein besonders edler Look. Die Stühle waren großteils Bestand, sie wurden durch zwei Design-Klassiker ergänzt und bilden nun ein lockeres Ensemble. Unterschiedlich und harmonisch – wie die Familie, die hier wohnt. Der Sofabereich wurde um ein vorhandenes Sofa komplett neu gestaltet. Der Fernseher “verschwindet” optisch in einer dunklen Wand in Marmoroptik. Beim Fenster befinden sich jetzt zwei Loungesessel zum Relaxen.
