Jens Juul Eilersen has created a gigantic "sofa bathtub", which is an orgy of soft foam, down and pillows. Tub is the coolest and softest sofa yet in the Eilersen universe of floaters. And the contrast between the slim, tight outer shell and the interior heaven of foam and down creates dynamism in the language of form. Like sitting on a soft bed. "My goal was to create a well-being sofa where you can sit as if on a soft bed. And I succeeded! I actually fell asleep the first time I leaned back into the prototype, which was the deepest version," tells Jens Juul Eilersen. "When I woke up, I could certainly see that I had to develop a variation of the model in which people could stay awake". This resulted in a further 2 different depths where you sit more upright but still comfortably. Compared to Eilersen's other floater, Tub differentiates itself by the frame. Tub does not have a heavy frame, which is part of the comfort. But on the other hand a thin shell, which keeps the large, soft pillows in place. Externally, the lines are straight and tight and internally, the upholstery and pillows result in organic lines. "The entire sitting comfort in Tub lies in the foam, which seems softer due to the large depth. This provides a feeling of elevation and larger submersion than in any of our other sofas. It is actually just like sitting in a large mug of foaming beer or on a cloud of down" says Jens Juul Eilersen who promises that even though Tub is soft, inviting and provoking, it cannot become flat. The residence, in the heart of the Texas hill country, has an exterior reminiscent of a Tuscany village, but hides a contemporary interior showcasing the client’s extensive art collections in an underground art gallery. The residence has an abundance of unique rooms for entertaining and living, each fitting the character of its owner. One space especially important to the owner is the master bathroom, which was designed as a luxurious sanctuary. With an intricately tiled walk-in shower, an elevated bathtub surrounded by windows and a dominant chandelier centerpiece, the space succeeded in creating the grandeur requested by the client. Our clients came to our North Showroom in Cedar Park, TX wanting to completely renovate the outdated cabinets and countertops in their newly purchased home. The flow of the kitchen was not aligning with their new family needs, and the style did not match their modern vision. The dated kitchen left a lot of unused space, and had pain points that disturbed the flow and symmetry of the space. We developed a design to take advantage of the room height, spacious area, and natural light from the bay window nook area. Our designer Dave met with the clients in the showroom and discovered the needs and wants to make the kitchen remodel a success. After understanding the client’s vision and requirements, they begun the collaboration on their kitchen design. During this phase we concluded we could achieve the kitchen design with in-stock cabinets from Kitchen Cabinet Distributors (KCD), a national recognized in-stock cabinet provider. We could have chosen a custom kitchen cabinetry line, however KCD’s offerings were the perfect fit for the design and allowed for an opportunity to save some of the budget for full quartz backsplash vs. tile. Our designers help you navigate the different lines we carry and are thoughtful to not steer you to more than you need to succeed. The first order of business was to change the orientation of the island, and move its position to frame the new galley arrangement. This would allow for better egress around the island and prevent tight spaces for a busy new kitchen. Secondly, now was the time to take advantage of the room height and install new stacked wall cabinets with clear glass panels on the top row. This made the kitchen renovation feel more grand, bright, and inviting. The glass provided opportunity to tie in the lighting scheme and lend more warmth to the design. Coupled with the toe kick and under cabinet lights in the base cabinets, the kitchen invites you in. Dave also took full advantage of the kitchen layout by using upper cabinets and no open shelving. We also wanted to find a new home for the built-in microwave as a stainless hood was now going to frame the cooktop / oven combo. We modified the cabinet in the island to trim in a microwave, at the same time keeping it out of view from the living area. Building on this approach, we also took the trash bin out of the kitchen space and provided a dedicated double trash bin cabinet. Aesthetics were very important in this design.

The sprawling outdoor grill island has plenty of work or play space for that matter highlighting DCS grill, plenty of storage, two drawer refrigerator and a trash pull all capped off with large swirling granite counters. A nice touch here is the top shelf designed for sight lines from entering the back yard, wind blockage for grilling, receptacles, and even night lighting underneath to illuminate at night. The second area is the sprawling bar and beverage Alfresco up against the house. Even the top shelf mimics the octagon bow window shape. The stone and granite details surround a nice layout of outdoor cabinetry for user convenience. The third area more of a splash to the outdoor living fabulously label is a Sundance spa enabled by a step down into from the deck. The new Deck and multi level stone surround with Remote firewalls keeps the fire visible from the house and poses as a privacy screen and back drop for the hot tub. These subtle features and design ideas by our team make the homeowners feel absolutely fabulous about the newly unfound space. The living room features refinished beams and vaulted ceilings matching the new doors' finish; custom aluminum black windows and new hardwood floors (Urban Floor L'Artist Renoir for Spazio LA Tile Gallery). The dated brick fireplace was replaced by a modern one with concrete look tiles (Shine Dark, from Spazio LA Tile Gallery) and reclaimed wood mantel.

Welcome to an update on my portfolio. I continually showcase the most relevant projects from my extensive catalog to provide you with a perspective on My Residential Design capabilities. This was a challenging project. The house sits on a steep slope going down from the street. We needed to keep the house above street level to avoid water leakage issues and, more importantly, to maintain the magnificent views of Lake Texoma. The solution was to place the garage underneath the house in a walk-out basement and utilize it as a foundation to design the cozy space our client had envisioned. The result is this lovely Farmhouse that the client and our team love so much. The functionality, flow, and the balance between value and cost were more than satisfactory. They fell utterly in love with the look of their dream house from the initial sketches. The lake views played a significant role in the whole process. Keeping that beloved image in mind and making it work with the program was the challenge we succeeded in. Now they sit on their porch, enjoying how the sun sets over the Treasure and Wood islands.

Inspiration for a large contemporary kitchen remodel in Denver

"Water, Earth, and Sky" - (Written by the Artist, Christina Cook Lee) "Growing up in the sixties, I observed Andy Warhol doing his famous graphic treatments of one image in variations. As I studied TV and Film in the 80's, I was taught that the industry developed and succeeded by offering classic plots in what became known as--"the same thing, only different". In other words, when a TV show or movie was successful, the producers would say, "Make another one...the same thing, only different". I painted these three pieces specifically for the wall they are shown on. There was a need for something large with impact. As I did the measurements of the wall and realized three 48"x60" canvases would work nicely, I started thinking about Warhol. Of course, the result I came up with is not a copy of his images at all...it's the same thing, only different." Acrylic on Canvas.

Custom rail made from reclaimed ski lift cable. This client came to us with an idea and we were told by many it could not be done, including other professionals and the supplier. We were determined and those kind of comments just fueled the fire. Not only did we succeed but added small details, such as the capped ends, that complimented the overall project, which exceeded the clients expectation!

The showroom kept parts of its original aesthetics displaying the concrete floor and exposed duct work. We added a15-panel glass garage door to reveal several unique kitchen vignettes on display. As a company, we believe in taking risks and creating unique statements by eclectically mixing different elements into our designs. We have succeeded to design traditional kitchens and incorporating cutting edge elements, setting us apart from the rest. Nancy Knickerbocker of Reico Kitchen and Bath in Southern Pines, NC designed a transitional kitchen design featuring Merillat Classic cabinetry. The kitchen cabinets are in the Ralston door style with a Steel Grey finish, complimented with Caesarstone Taj Royal countertops. The kitchen also includes Kohler Undertone undermount single-bowl D-shape kitchen sink, Kohler Graze faucet and Top Knobs Ash Grey hardware. "We added accessories to make this small kitchen more functional," explained Nancy. "By reducing the size of the sink base and opting for a D-shape sink, we created space for a trash cabinet. A wall filler near the range was changed to a spice pullout, transforming wasted corner space into storage. We installed a full lazy susan in the base corner cabinet by the range and a half-moon lazy susan by the dishwasher.
