Inspiration for a craftsman closet remodel in Phoenix

A small kitchen and breakfast room were combined to create this large open space. The floor is antique cement tile from France. The island top is reclaimed wood with a wax finish. Countertops are Carrera marble. All photos by Lee Manning Photography

Additional space at the top of an adjacent closet provided an opportunity to create a home for the family puppy. This arched opening is consistent with the rest of the home and provides a wonderful spot for the dog to survey both floors of the home. John Wilbanks Photography

A kitchen that was part of a home extension, features custom made cabinetry. The cabinets are painted with Benjamin Moore decorators white and the island is painted in Benjamin Moore hale navy, the counter tops are a Calcutta quartz, and the backsplash is a marble and brass herringbone. The appliances are stainless steel while the hardware and faucets are brass.
