Expansive straight lines define this modern staircase. Natural blonde hickory treads and stringers create warm, neutral tones that flow seamlessly into a smooth, linear handrail. The horizontal black metal rails and symmetrically spaced vertical balusters form a clean geometric pattern that maintains openness while providing structure. Each element brings this beautifully modern staircase to life.

And though the one-bedroom apartment is small in size, our client needed a second convertible bedroom in her apartment for her parents when they visit from Japan. Frosted glass sliding doors were cleverly added to the end of the living room to divide the space to allow for a second bedroom and a home office, without taking any daylight away from the living room. In the guest area, Ashley introduced a round graphic black and white patterned rug for added personality, while minimal floating iron and glass shelves provide both extra surfaces and added visual interest.
A gallery wall featuring rows of carefully installed personal and family photos line the petite hallway that leads to the master suite. Our client requested a crisp black and white bedroom so Ashley used a wide variety of materials to give the room warmth through material instead of color. Ashley also once again brought in a textured white rug to work as a focal point and to make the room appear as large as possible. She kept furnishings timeless and pared back but full of strength thanks to their moody matte gray tones and symmetrical setup. A single armed sturdy clothing rack was also brought in to help our client better prepare for the day ahead every morning.

2018 HNA Awards Honorable Mention - Concrete Paver - Residential (size more than 3,000 sf)
Contractor: Go Pavers
Producer: Orco
Designer: Aaron Barnes
The homeowner wanted to create a luxurious outdoor space. A one-of-a-kind design, the company combined Orco Villa stones and arranged them in a random pattern to create the outline of a small airplane which accents the shape of the swimming pool. The subtle earthy tones of the stones together create the perfect contrast between the rich blue of the pool water and green tones of the artificial turf installation.
What truly takes this design to the next level is the propeller design that was created using Holland stone in Charcoal. The company had the idea of creating a "starburst" effect with the colors, where the dark grey bursts into the a lighter brown (Chateau). To create the symmetrical, rounded shape the company used high end cutting machines to precisely cut each and every edge stone, ensuring they all lay perfectly together.
The company also installed red, green and white lights into the system which are reminiscent to the tail lights on a real airplane to create the some of the final touches. Despite being the statement design, the company tied in an alternating runner border in the Manor colorway to truly tie in the pool to the rest of the yard. By incorporating different elements of the back patio, such as the turf, water and overall shape, the company was able to accent the homeowner's front driveway as well.
Approximately 3,700 square feet in total, the company combined Orco Villa with Orco Antique Cobble Circle to create an open, welcoming entrance to a lovely home. The company took advantage of the naturally rounded edges of the home and created accents with the circle kit and border detail near an existing water fountain.
Similar to the "starburst" effect on the plane propeller, this was replicated on the each circle kit on the front entryway. The artificial turf border around the fountain paired with the Antique Cobble circle kit truly make this piece stand out.

For the primary bedroom at our Winter Street project in Medfield, we focused on creating a warm, balanced space that feels both timeless and inviting. By incorporating natural wood tones, a soft neutral palette, and subtle patterned wallpaper, we added depth while maintaining a calm and cohesive atmosphere. Thoughtful styling, symmetrical furniture placement, and layered textures help bring the room together, resulting in a polished retreat designed for comfort and everyday living.

This luxurious bathroom comes complete with a custom vanity, ample drawer storage including cabinets on top of the countertop enhanced with frosted glass doors. The bathroom floor is a field of porcelain damask and diamond-shaped tiles with a border that follows the perimeter of the room including the shape of the cabinetry. Faucets for the vanity are chrome and they are offset from center for a nice symmetrical look. Delicate chrome sconces flank a 48" round mirror that makes the room feel spacious. A gray glass subway tile backsplash is continued around the entire perimeter of the shower. The shower floor is a zero-entry shower which means that it is at the same level as the bathroom floor. Damask shapes continue in the shower. They grace the back wall as a waterfall feature that highlights the rain shower head. The handle to turn on the shower is installed on the adjacent wall so the homeowners can turn on the water without getting that first cold burst. An elegant chrome chandelier is hung at the center of the vanity and extends down from the wood molding feature on the ceiling. Inside a damask-shaped pattern is stenciled for a very dramatic effect. Glass knobs were used for the vanity hardware and a glass knob follows suit on the frosted glass entry door.

Family room - large traditional open concept medium tone wood floor family room idea in Miami with a bar, beige walls and a tv stand

The new kitchen island was made to contrast the cabinetry around the perimeter of the kitchen. The island houses a drawer microwave in a stainless steel finish. The cabinets to the left of the refrigerator house the pantry and provide ample storage for food and staples. The backsplash behind the cooktop is a marble basketweave pattern that extends from the granite countertop to the ceiling. Hunter Douglas Vignette shades provide privacy at the window. The stunning, inset, Shiloh cabinetry in this master bath provides plentiful storage under the his and her sinks. The contrasting gray paint with the all white bathroom is just what this master needed. Cabinetry is clean and symmetrical making this space a relaxing oasis.
This Home was designed by Toulmin Cabinetry & Design of Tuscaloosa, AL. The photography is by 205 Photography.

This is a rectangular pool that is centered on the family room windows of the primary focal point of the house. The spa is recessed in the pool to provide good access and not break up the symmetrical lines of the space. By viewing the length of the pool it gives the allusion of more depth to the yard. The understated diving platform provides the only safe place to dive in the pool and a water feature to drown out street noise. Colored and textured concrete were used for the deck and to cap the existing porches. Designed by Mike Farley.

The kitchen exudes a warm and inviting ambiance, highlighted by its elegant tile flooring that extends seamlessly across the space. The tiles, with their subtle pattern and neutral tones, add texture and durability, making them both practical and stylish. Custom cabinetry lines the walls, crafted to fit perfectly and maximize storage. These bespoke cabinets boast a sleek finish, with intricate details and personalized touches that reflect craftsmanship and attention to detail. The combination of the durable tile floor and the tailored cabinetry creates a functional yet sophisticated environment, perfect for culinary creativity and family gatherings.

Inspiration for a large timeless master white tile freestanding bathtub remodel in Miami with a one-piece toilet and green walls

Inspired by the client’s frequent trips to Martha’s Vineyard, this renovation project’s primary goal was to create a landscape complimentary of this Colonial Revival style home, reminiscent of Edgartown, Massachusetts.
The front landscape was specifically designed to offer expansive views of a layered horizontal foundation planting that nestled itself around the base of the home, allowing the home itself to be the star of the show. Flowering borders that rotate with the seasons create a strong foreground while a clipped yew hedge forms the barrier needed to separate the billowing panicle hydrangeas in the background. The axial design of the herringbone front walk, punctuated by a bluestone transitional space and formal cast limestone urn, create an axis by which all other landscape elements are symmetrically mirrored.
Desiring a rear entertainment space separated from the adjacent 4 car garage and recreational lawn, a series of intimate gathering spaces were designed to include Edgartown inspired architectural features that would establish the character of the garden while setting the backdrop for a robust mix of perennials, grasses, hedges and annuals. Mimicking the pattern and detail previously established on the stone base of the home, individually hand chiseled pieces of Valders veneer were used to construct the garden walls. Reclaimed street pavers border a reconfigured bluestone patio and create a garden walk that separates the garden into 4 equal quadrants; each section of the walk connecting itself to a prominent feature of the garden. The central paver transition space is backed by a concentric hedge of low growing boxwoods, delineating annual and perennial. The relocation of an arbor, in conjunction with a new evergreen hedge, creates the desired partition between relaxed conversation and open lawn activities. A brick masonry water feature with reclaimed 1916 antique cast iron tub anchors the garden and terminates the perennial adorned paver walk opposite the home’s fireplace centered within the main seating area.
Whether spending an evening with friends or a quiet moment alone, this quaint garden space offers our clients the perfect ambiance to pause and reflect on life’s special treasures.
