From the crystalline surface of the water in the pool to the winding path across the swale and through the foliage, this property has much to discover. Each element of this one-of-a-kind landscape design causes your eye to linger while tempting you to explore further. Relaxation and luxury are worked into each area of Juergen’s vision from the cabana to the pavilion. Lighting features bathe the property in a soft glow as the sun begins to set and the scent of a barbequed meal cooked in the outdoor cooking area reaches your nose. And, as you relax in the privacy of the spa looking out at the expansive patio, you experience unparalleled peace.

Even the side entry of this stately mountain home provides a peek at its sophisticated, traditional style.
Ivory plaster walls and ceiling frame the room, which has been trimmed in rich grey. Built-in cabinets in the same gray offer a spot to put on shoes, drop bags or stash essential items. Hats, coats and umbrellas can be hung on iron hooks that coordinate with the drawer hardware. Walnut-stained hardwood flooring climbs the stairs leading the way to the second level. The handrail and chunky newel are stained the same rich dark brown as the entry’s door and bench seat top. Iron balusters coordinate with the wall sconce providing depth and contrast. A round window at the landing punches light into the staircase and tempts a quick look. Topping the floors is a flat weave rug in a palette of almond, charcoal and beige. The rug softens the space as do the aqua, cream, taupe and ecru graphic print throw pillows. A trio of framed hunting dog paintings brings pops of turquoise and is a reminder of the natural views just outside.

Spectacular Walkout Basement Home
Your family and guests can really spread out in this super-size cottage home. Sloped gables and graceful arches combine with cedar shake, lap siding and stonework to create an elegant Old World exterior with a cottage ambiance. This hillside walkout features an open floorplan and plenty of outdoor living areas. Create tempting meals in the kitchen with breakfast room. Eat outside in the inviting screen porch with skylights. Cathedral ceilings top the great room, master bedroom and screened porch, and three fireplaces, built-in cabinetry and an art niche add custom touches, along with the wet bar and large utility. The master suite offers a sitting area and convenient linen closets. Downstairs, each bedroom has its own walk-in closet and bath, while a powder room services the rec room. For versatility, the home features a bedroom/study and expandable bonus room. Note the service entry for convenience.

The owners of this farmhouse were tempted to sell their home and move to Florida. They decided they would stay if they could remodel to accommodate main floor living with a new master suite and an enlarged family room. A design with three additions enabled us to make all the changes they requested.
One addition created the master suite, the second was a five-foot bump out in the family room, and the third is a breezeway addition connecting the garage to the main house.
Special features include a master bath with a no-threshold shower and floating vanity. Windows are strategically placed throughout to allow views to the outdoor swimming pool.

This bathroom is a glam/bohemian combination perfectly attuned to the Palm Springs client I was working for. Both modern and vintage pieces marry the style, and make it feel both lived in, AND entirely unique!
