The Jason Alba Playpark is designed as an extension of the client's mission statement: To unite the mind, body, and spirit. Students work in specially designed areas (zones) alongside therapists to support individual needs with sensory-seeking and avoiding tendencies.
• Acoustic –Embracing rhythm during vibration and sound therapy can lead to dance: a physical embodiment of emotions created by sound.
• Tactile - Sensory exposure is expressed through different textures, colors, and surface temperatures of materials. A tactile wall and pathway allow students to encounter varying surface conditions, strengthening their ability to react to changing conditions encountered every day.
• Active – Promoting healthy minds through activity: the active zone encourages the use of adaptive and accessible equipment, social engagement through physical activity, and inspires confidence through play.
• Color - Each color evokes different feelings that can calm, soothe, invigorate, and excite.
• Nature - A calming space with a greenhouse and sensory gardens establishes a welcoming environment for therapy sessions. Aromatherapy in the gardens stimulate one’s senses engaging in all aspects of therapy through the selection of safe plant materials.
• Water –Features such as harvesting, cleaning, and reusing rainwater teach sustainability and permeable surfaces facilitate save play.

Elegance often starts with simplicity, regardless of the style of the space. This Midcentury Modern kitchen has a 24x48 porcelain floor tile installed. Bigger is better, even in the smallest of areas. When stepping to a 12x24 tile, the reality of that choice, often creates the space to date quicker due to the increased grout. Also, a product on the floor must appear to have the strength and depth to support the visual size of a room. That is created by size or by using tiles to work as a team. Stepping to a 12x24 tile will often cause a home owner to feel as if they must remodel once 3-4 years have passed. Simply, a larger format tile will often increase the longevity of a home, space or project, it's due to the simplicity and decrease in grout.
This home has porcelain countertops installed. Porcelain countertops are a choice many don't know they can make. Porcelain handles heat incredibly well, It looks incredible and handles abuse, with no real maintenance required, where stone requires a lot of up-keep. We have been walking on porcelain for decades. It's strange it has taken so long to create porcelain countertops. To be successful with the install of a porcelain countertop, you must hire the right company that specializes in installing that type of product. Not always, but often, a stone countertop installer is not interested or trained in the install of a porcelain countertop. Laminam is probably one of the most successful porcelain countertops to install. They don't have a tendency to hairline facture at install like the other bands.

Along these lines, you can undoubtedly separate the zone from the others without spending progressively and expend more spaces.

This style of home is not common to the area, and it’s becoming a lost art.Several elevations were drawn, but the client kept gravitating toward the all-brick English revival elements. They wanted the best of both worlds: a vintage 1800s look with modern amenities incorporating communal spaces, but also private areas. Full bed brick and full thickness manmade limestone, intricate gables, plus the builder’s perfectionist tendencies resulted in a stunning showcase for the entire team.

Granite is lustrous, rich, and crystalline, can be honed to a gloss, is smooth to the touch, very hard and 100% natural.
Quartz is lustrous, deep and dimensional and can be honed to desired gloss. It’s smooth to the touch and hard, but can scorch. Quartz is 93% natural and 7% manmade.
Marble is deep, rich and illuminating, and polishes to a very high gloss. While beautiful and very hard, marble does have a higher tendency to scratch and scorch. Marble is 100% natural.
Solid Surface is uniform and has a matte-like structure. It’s never glossy and can scratch, but it’s sandable. Solid Surface provides texture, and seams are mostly invisible. Solid Surface is 66% natural and 33% polymers.

One of the subtle ways space was manipulated was to curve the wall behind the range. The stove wall divides the kitchen from the living room; at its' terminus in the living room it became the hallway entering the private section of the home. The curved natural upper cabinet at the beginning of the kitchen, mimics the curved wall in opposition but softens and eases the eye level entrance to the kitchen proper. This curved cabinet also offered tremendous storage space due to the unique design and construction of the door. The kitchen is in white excepting for defining areas of the same material the floor is constructed from: quartered sycamore. White enlarges one's perception of space and therefore should be used when the design is appropriate. One negative aspect of white is the tendency to create an antiseptic space. Due to the kitchens' small size and floor of sycamore it was easy to add natural wood as a focal point as well as enhance interest and flow of the whole space. The curving wall added to the depth of cabinets without being intrusive. The Sub Zero built in refrigerator anchored the narrow end of the kitchen but displayed a side of solid white to enhance the kitchen's termination. Good design, interesting design, requires some degree of attention but also the ability to be interpreted correctly by excellent craftsman. Individual Zinc panels are used as cladding for this garage door in an effort to match the zinc siding used throughout the home's exterior.
A great characteristic about metal is its tendency to change color when exposed to the elements. If the correct metal is chosen as well as maintained the patina adds to the presentation of the design.

I call this the Oreo house. 40 years of practice have taught me a few things about remodels and additions. Namely, now to contain the tendency to rebuild the entire house. I this case, I elected to concentrate the most impactful work on a slice of the center of the house, call it the cream filling in an Oreo. The plan is to make two big cuts across the house and remove the center slice and rebuild that portion as a two story structure containing all the upgrades that would best meet my client's immediate needs. The two cookies could then be easily upgraded as two later phases.

New Electric collection of Atelier Tapis Rouge is meant to become a breakthrough of contemporary interior design. Based on the philosophy of natural light spectrum it harmoniously combines smoothness of organic forms, scientific creation basis and unique technology of production. This winning combination guarantees harmonious coexistence of futuristic design and sustainable approach changing the perception of rug from an interior design piece into an art object.
Unique trinity between intelligent natural forms, advance technology and science of material production became solid basis for absolutely new period of Design in 80-90s, being brilliantly expressed by timeless artists as Zacha Khadid (in architecture) or for instance Ross Legrove in technologic and later in fashion design.
The attraction and subtle elegance of organic shapes has been continuously growing bringing to the world new solutions for fashion and interior design. Following this tendence, we have created a futuristic collection of rugs, philosophical basis of which is the theory of photon spectrum. In chase of inspiration, we addressed behavior characteristics of each of 4 light rays caused by photon speed and as a result of this thorough work our Electric collection “saw the light”.
