When an expanding family outgrew its beloved A frame vacation home, chaos followed. Outdoor gear multiplied exponentially, while any organized spot to stow it did not. Expected amenities were non-existent for needs of the crowd of outdoor enthusiasts. SV Design addressed the lacking elements and added practicality, with style: the multigenerational family members and friends can now appreciate space for the variety of hobbies and interests they pursue. Having worked with Siemasko + Verbridge in the past, the family turned to SV once again knowing we would design solution to address the growing list of concerns.
SV’s design of a three-story addition with a relatively small footprint was just what the home needed. A covered entry now provides the option of entering the main house or stopping off in the mud room to remove boots, drop off skis, and hang up wet clothes. Regardless of the way you enter the main house you will be greeted with a naturally lit, welcoming staircase of reclaimed white oak timber treads and steel stringers and rails. Each newel post is capped off with a polished granite sphere to pay homage to the Granite State in which the house resides.
The open stair invites you up to a spacious family space for playing board games, listening to music, gazing at the stars, or just lounging about in the warm comfort of the home. Traveling downstairs from the main level is a new, kid friendly media room for popcorn and movies, or a little video game sibling competition.
Perhaps the most striking new feature of the home is the custom designed Adirondack style bar built of varying tones of willow branches and bank. Topped off with a contrasting aged zinc counter, backsplash and shelf the bar is the perfect spot for the resident bar tender to mix up a tasty concoction for sitting by the crackling fire just steps away.
This home will provide comfort and ease for the family to relax and enjoy their getaway for years to come.

This homeowner was ready to downsize. They sold the big house and bought an older condo on the golf course that needed some tender loving care. First mission - tear out the kitchen countertops and flooring. Paint the honey oak cabinets gray, added Cambria Bellingham countertops. Second mission - remodel the master bath with new vanity and Cambria Minera countertops. It's beautiful and there are no boundaries. Let's see...what will be their third mission?

As cherry continues to make a comeback, we show how classic is far from a dirty word. This kitchen used to be closed off and non-functional. With the help of our award-winning designer, Tracy West, it is now open, and has the perfect work triangle. By removing the wall that previously separated the kitchen and breakfast nook, the homeowners were able to relocate their refrigerator and add an island. The natural tones and textures in this kitchen make it feel inviting and clean and demonstrate that cherry can still add personality and dimension in a completely updated (and still timeless) way.

When we were designed our Stratford rug, we too wanted to create a timeless classic. Based on an Antique Mahal carpet design, this rug contains a cast of elaborate flowers, lively leaves, tender vines, vase motifs and palmettes on a soft ivory ground. The versatile color palette includes red, indigo, ivory, yellow, caramel, deep terracotta, medium blue and soft green. Each of these colors has been specially dyed to achieve graduated shades of each hue on the wool yarns. The result is literally dozens of individual colors woven to simulate the stria effect of aged vegetable dyes. Woven in the U.S.A. of premium worsted New Zealand wool, this classic design leaves a lasting impression.

Cool and casual and made from a denim-inspired weave, our Large Jean Pouf is the big sis to the original smaller version we all love. At 24” square, it was designed for extra seating, as a footrest for tender tootsies or as a coffee or side table with the addition of the perfect tray.

This comfortable bedroom is decorated in white colors that add warmth, tenderness, cleanliness and peace to the whole interior. Note the orange color of the beds and some black paintings on the walls that act as impressive decorative elements.
Colorful furniture pieces and decorative elements create a lively atmosphere, bringing an optimistic and cheerful mood to the owners of the bedroom.

This charming family home in Belmont was in dire need of some tender loving care. The original builder-grade cabinetry and countertops were outdated and in need of an upgrade.
The kitchen was once isolated from the dining room and living room, making entertaining guests a real chore. Cooking in the kitchen meant being cut off from the rest of the household, leading to a disconnect during family time. So, we decided to make some sweeping changes.
The most transformative change was the removal of the load bearing wall separating the kitchen and living room. This created a spacious open-concept kitchen with a massive island, perfect for hosting and socializing. We upgraded the cabinets to reflect a contemporary aesthetic and added a stunning hood vent. The built-in hutch was replaced by a refrigerator and beverage center, providing ample storage space and more practical usage. The kitchen was also equipped with modern features such as roll-out trays, a trash can pull-out, spice racks, and utensil organizers. We replaced the older-style double door base cabinets with modern drawer bases for easy access, and increased the height of the cabinets from 30 inches to 36 inches, giving the kitchen a fresh, airy look and additional storage space.
The laundry room also received a makeover, with new cabinets above the washer and dryer and a tall linen/storage closet, making it more functional and storage-friendly. The small pantry closet was transformed into a sprawling 12 foot deep walk-in pantry with new shelves, cabinetry and lighting, providing ample space for all your pantry essentials. We also upgraded the flooring on the first floor with durable LVP flooring, elevating the overall aesthetic and feel of the home. All of these changes were completed in a mere 21 days, from start to finish.
