A great way to brighten up a bedroom is with painted nightstands. In this case, we wanted to maintain a calming environment with neutral wall colors and bedding. Small Bedroom decorating ideas! Interior Designer Rebecca Robeson began this Bedroom remodel with Benjamin Moore's 2017 color of the year… “Shadow” 2117-30 Rebecca wanted a bold statement color for this small Bedroom. Something that would say WOW. Her next step was to find a bold statement piece of art to create the color palette for the rest of the room. From the art piece came bedding choices, a fabulous over-died antique area rug (Aja Rugs) randomly collected throw pillows and furniture pieces that would provide a comfortable Bedroom but not fill the space unnecessarily. Rebecca had white linen, custom window treatments made and chose white bedding to ground the space, keeping it light and airy. Playing up the 13' concrete ceilings, Rebecca used modern light fixtures with white shades to pop off the purple wall creating an exciting first... and lasting, impression! This client was so much fun to design for. Their project was all about color, texture and creating a master bedroom and guest bedroom that compliments their passion for traveling and eclectic style. We created a seating area in the master bedroom where the family can gather at night to read and spend time quality time. Their desire for deep color and bold pattern allowed us to create a casual space that is both warm and inviting at the end of a long day. Guests often visit and stay for a bit. They wanted to give their family and friends the same cozy feel in their guest bedroom. We were able to use a combination of patterns, textures and colors with our custom-made bedding and pillows. We also love to repurpose where we can and painted furniture is a great place to start. The depth of color used here is a true reflection of our clients' warm and friendly personality that says "welcome to our home." Location: Spring Lake, NJ, US Our design goal for this renovation and addition was to present a modern interpretation of Colonial Plantation Style. This home features dark wood floors, wood paneling and a light soothing color scheme. The Dining Room features classic silk De Gournay Wallpaper which further fuses the indoor and outdoor seamlessness of the home. The amazing tile installations permeate the decor with color, texture and pattern. The shaker-style kitchen is refreshed by using black cabinetry, a custom stainless hood and La Cornue Range.
