Inspiration for a mid-sized contemporary side yard light wood floor patio remodel in San Francisco

design by Pulp Design Studios | http://pulpdesignstudios.com/ This master suite renovation was completed for a couple with both a love of french antiques and their pet. Pulp incorporated key beloved pieces from the homeowners’ collection with durable fabrics and custom pillows to create a tranquil retreat. Glass tile and marble were used to transform the master bath from a dark space to a space that is serene, open and aesthetically pleasing. Finishing touches really complete the look giving it an authentic spa feel.

The clients for this project approached SALA ‘to create a house that we will be excited to come home to’. Having lived in their house for over 20 years, they chose to stay connected to their neighborhood, and accomplish their goals by extensively remodeling their existing split-entry home.

New to Dallas from California, this couple engaged us to fully furnish and partially renovate their new Frisco home. They were uncertain of what to do with their new-Texas sized house, nor did they know which style was most fitting, but we had loads of fun figuring that out with them! They knew they loved white and neutrals, yet needed to balance that affinity with functionality, suitable for their young children. We brought in furnishings with light toned woods, scaled to fill up their large spaces, along with light and bright performance fabrics that would hold up even with small children and a beloved (not so small) dog. Incorporating textures were key in keeping depth within the designs and appears in rugs, floor tiles, bedding, wallpaper, and fabrics throughout. The glass light fixtures, organic inspired artwork, and monochromatic tiles keep things feeling casually elegant and completely livable. All together, the result is just what they wanted…a beautiful, calm-inducing, comfortable place they are excited to call home.

A convergence of sleek contemporary style and organic elements culminate in this elevated esthetic. High gloss white contrasts with sustainable bamboo veneers, run horizontally, and stained a warm matte caramel color. The showpiece is the 3” bamboo framing around the tall units, engineered in strips that perfectly align with the breaks in the surrounding cabinetry. So as not to clutter the clean lines of the flat panel doors, the white cabinets open with touch latches, most of which have lift-up mechanisms. Base cabinets have integrated channel hardware in stainless steel, echoing the appliances. Storage abounds, with such conveniences as tray partitions, corner swing-out lazy susans, and assorted dividers and inserts for the profusion of large drawers. Pure white quartz countertops terminate in a waterfall end at the peninsula, where there’s room for three comfortable stools under the overhang. A unique feature is the execution of the cooktop: it’s set flush into the countertop, with a fascia of quartz below it; the cooktop’s knobs are set into that fascia. To assure a clean look throughout, the quartz is continued onto the backsplashes, punctuated by a sheet of stainless steel behind the rangetop and hood. Serenity and style in a hardworking space. Living Room: Minimal is the key for the space, this 4.5 seater sofa in deeper grey tone with vertical tufted look, complements the area, since it's marrying well with the wall tone that falls on softer greys. With having texture in places like on the Main Entrance Door and on the either side of the wall, the area is braced with asymmetric and uncertain textural surprises that are seamless to look at because of the same wall paint. The color pop is added by the blue ottoman bench that gathers the living area from the entrance lobby. And for this long horizontal span of space. There's no just one but a set of 3 nested table. one with stone top with SS Matt Gold finish, other one with Wooden Veneered Matt PU Coated Top with SS Matt Gold finish and lastly a round ottoman with houndstooth pattern. Everything is looking more collected by a textured abstract handwoven carpet. The architectural lights- decor, Concrete finish wall art, cushions and plants elevates the space to another level.
