When making an area rug, upholstered furniture, or other textile investment, it’s a smart decision to protect the fibers instead of waiting for a spill or stain to occur. This can lead to a costly replacement or undergoing colour correction.

The historic home is tucked away in beautiful Henniker, New Hampshire. The home owners wanted a new look for their outdated kitchen and chose the Cobb Hill team to undergo an extensive renovation. We first reconfigured the space to be more economical for everyday use. New granite countertops, Wolf custom cabinetry, and appliances were added including a Wolf commercial style range. Cobb Hill also demoed, reconfigured, and renovated a new bathroom off of the homes kitchen. New washer and dryers were installed, along with a custom rolling glass door shower, wood-like tile on the walls, pebble shower floor, vanity, and lighting. The home now has a new update charm to go with its 200 year old roots.

After a water leak had gone undetected, these homeowners had to undergo a primary bathroom remodel in their Mid-Century Modern home. Not being fans of the traditional style, we set out to create a space that would fit within the home's architecture while still resonating with the homeowner's taste.
Simple, soft blue vanities, topped with white quartz, allow the clean, polished nickel fixtures to shine. Large format porcelain tile was used on the shower walls, while a smaller hex-tile added subtle interest on the shower floor. The freestanding bathtub and tub filler feel like a quiet luxury nestled by the window, overlooking nature.
The original, natural wood ceiling was retained, inspiring the muted, calm color palette.

The setting for Night at the Queen is Downtown Bryan Texas, a truly unique, quaint, and well restored historic district not to be missed if you are visiting the Bryan College Station area. The historic Queen Theatre (correct spelling!) is undergoing a complete restoration. One of my favorite buildings, it had to be the focus of this painting! Upon completion of the restoration, I can imagine an evening that feels much like this with a few clouds still illuminated by a low, fading sunset complimenting the stunning lights of the district at night reflected on the wet sidewalks from a passing shower. While we await the arrival of the Queen, come join me in anticipating a future scene that pays homage to the past and preserves the Queen for future generations. Here, the crowd is already gathering. Movie anyone?

This early 1910's stucco Cleveland Park house, located in the shadow of National Cathedral, has been transformed though a three-story addition and interior renovation with a modern touch. A sleek kitchen by Bulthaup, sheathed in oak, stainless steel, granite and glass sets the tone for the re-shaped Dining Room and new Family Room. This space spills out onto a screened porch and open deck. Upstairs, new and old come together in the Master Bedroom suite, which incorporates a wood, glass and stone bathroom.
Due to its age and condition, the house had to undergo significant repairs and reconstruction, including excavating for a full-height basement, repair and replacement of significant amounts of plaster and trim, and installation of new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
This project was awarded the "Best of Architectural Spaces" by Washington SPACES magazine.
