Home and Living Examiner said: Modern renovation by J Design Group is stunning J Design Group, an expert in luxury design, completed a new project in Tamarac, Florida, which involved the total interior remodeling of this home. We were so intrigued by the photos and design ideas, we decided to talk to J Design Group CEO, Jennifer Corredor. The concept behind the redesign was inspired by the client’s relocation. Andrea Campbell: How did you get a feel for the client's aesthetic? Jennifer Corredor: After a one-on-one with the Client, I could get a real sense of her aesthetics for this home and the type of furnishings she gravitated towards. The redesign included a total interior remodeling of the client's home. All of this was done with the client's personal style in mind. Certain walls were removed to maximize the openness of the area and bathrooms were also demolished and reconstructed for a new layout. This included removing the old tiles and replacing with white 40” x 40” glass tiles for the main open living area which optimized the space immediately. Bedroom floors were dressed with exotic African Teak to introduce warmth to the space. We also removed and replaced the outdated kitchen with a modern look and streamlined, state-of-the-art kitchen appliances. To introduce some color for the backsplash and match the client's taste, we introduced a splash of plum-colored glass behind the stove and kept the remaining backsplash with frosted glass. We then removed all the doors throughout the home and replaced with custom-made doors which were a combination of cherry with insert of frosted glass and stainless steel handles. All interior lights were replaced with LED bulbs and stainless steel trims, including unique pendant and wall sconces that were also added. All bathrooms were totally gutted and remodeled with unique wall finishes, including an entire marble slab utilized in the master bath shower stall. Once renovation of the home was completed, we proceeded to install beautiful high-end modern furniture for interior and exterior, from lines such as B&B Italia to complete a masterful design. One-of-a-kind and limited edition accessories and vases complimented the look with original art, most of which was custom-made for the home. To complete the home, state of the art A/V system was introduced. The idea is always to enhance and amplify spaces in a way that is unique to the client and exceeds his/her expectations. This one is near and dear to my heart. Not only is it in my own backyard, it is also the first remodel project I've gotten to do for myself! This space was previously a detached two car garage in our backyard. Seeing it transform from such a utilitarian, dingy garage to a bright and cheery little retreat was so much fun and so rewarding! This space was slated to be an AirBNB from the start and I knew I wanted to design it for the adventure seeker, the savvy traveler, and those who appreciate all the little design details . My goal was to make a warm and inviting space that our guests would look forward to coming back to after a full day of exploring the city or gorgeous mountains and trails that define the Pacific Northwest. I also wanted to make a few bold choices, like the hunter green kitchen cabinets or patterned tile, because while a lot of people might be too timid to make those choice for their own home, who doesn't love trying it on for a few days?At the end of the day I am so happy with how it all turned out! --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. Who says a bathroom can’t be fun and colorful? This dedicated kids’ bathroom was updated to fit the personalities of the children who use it daily. The blue accented 6x6” wall tiles were arranged in a custom pattern, while the fixtures and hardware are a unique pink hue. The hutch for towels and other supplies also features pink shelves, while the modern wall sconce lights keep the space looking bright. The medicine cabinet mirror is hung above the custom wall-mounted vanity, which is painted gray to match the gray tile floors. To complete this renovation, we included a spacious white tiled shower that has plenty of built-in shelves for toiletries.

For the design of this beautiful home, our St. Pete studio used a variety of wallpapers in beautiful prints and patterns to create a modern, stylish, and sophisticated space. Thoughtful artworks adorn these walls providing curious points of interest throughout the home. Each area has a unique lighting piece adding a touch of classy elegance. In the bathroom, we added a pale green palette to create an airy, spa-like vibe. We also designed a stylish home office with a bright blue chair, plenty of storage space, and a beautiful, spacious work desk. Primary Bedroom & Bathroom The new dormer created the opportunity for a true primary suite, giving the homeowners a private retreat complete with an ensuite bathroom and much-needed storage. The bathroom combines clean, timeless materials with carefully selected details that create a calming, spa-like atmosphere. Green paneling introduces a subtle pop of color, while warm wood tones, marble accents, and tonal subway tile add texture and warmth. Matching marble details at the shower niche, window, and curb create a cohesive look, and furniture-style cabinetry helps the vanity feel lighter within the space. Storage was a major priority throughout the design. A medicine cabinet, vanity, and built-in shelving behind the door provide generous organization without sacrificing the room’s open feel. Mixed metal finishes and traditional wall paneling tie the bathroom to the rest of the home while giving it its own unique personality. In the bedroom, custom built-in cabinetry maximizes storage while maintaining a furniture-inspired appearance. Thoughtfully designed shelving, hanging storage, and concealed outlets create practical organization, while detailed crown molding helps the cabinetry feel seamlessly integrated into the architecture. A new walk-in closet completes the suite, providing the dedicated storage the homeowners had been missing.

This primary bathroom remodel involved a full gut of the existing bathroom, new floor plan, new paint, finishes, vanities, lighting and more. Our client wanted an entirely unique space that felt elevated and functional. We designed the space that checked all the boxes and provided a Parisian boho flair that you won't find anywhere else. This West University Master Bathroom remodel was quite the challenge. Our design team rework the walls in the space along with a structural engineer to create a more even flow. In the begging you had to walk through the study off master to get to the wet room. We recreated the space to have a unique modern look. The custom vanity is made from Tree Frog Veneers with countertops featuring a waterfall edge. We suspended overlapping circular mirrors with a tiled modular frame. The tile is from our beloved Porcelanosa right here in Houston. The large wall tiles completely cover the walls from floor to ceiling . The freestanding shower/bathtub combination features a curbless shower floor along with a linear drain. We cut the wood tile down into smaller strips to give it a teak mat affect. The wet room has a wall-mount toilet with washlet. The bathroom also has other favorable features, we turned the small study off the space into a wine / coffee bar with a pull out refrigerator drawer.

This narrow galley style primary bathroom was opened up by eliminating a wall between the toilet and vanity zones, enlarging the vanity counter space, and expanding the shower into dead space between the existing shower and the exterior wall. Now the space is the relaxing haven they'd hoped for for years. The warm, modern palette features soft green cabinetry, sage green ceramic tile with a high variation glaze and a fun accent tile with gold and silver tones in the shower niche that ties together the brass and brushed nickel fixtures and accessories, and a herringbone wood-look tile flooring that anchors the space with warmth. Wood accents are repeated in the softly curved mirror frame, the unique ash wood grab bars, and the bench in the shower. Quartz counters and shower elements are easy to mantain and provide a neutral break in the palette. The sliding shower door system allows for easy access without a door swing bumping into the toilet seat. The closet across from the vanity was updated with a pocket door, eliminating the previous space stealing small swinging doors. Storage features include a pull out hamper for quick sorting of dirty laundry and a tall cabinet on the counter that provides storage at an easy to grab height.
