Example of a large transitional dark wood floor and brown floor family room design in Boston with white walls, a standard fireplace, a stone fireplace and a concealed tv

Our remodeled 1994 Deck House was a stunning hit with our clients. All original moulding, trim, truss systems, exposed posts and beams and mahogany windows were kept in tact and refinished as requested. All wood ceilings in each room were painted white to brighten and lift the interiors. This is the view looking from the living room toward the kitchen. Our mid-century design is timeless and remains true to the modernism movement.

This extensive renovation of a 1980s Tudor-style residence made use of the original structure’s good “bones,” unique form, and excellent site orientation while shaping it to suit a modernist design sensibility and the family’s needs. Designed by Ward+Blake Architects

Inspiration for a contemporary open concept medium tone wood floor and brown floor living room remodel in Atlanta with white walls and a standard fireplace

A large, oak built-in housed the TV and made the room seem heavy and dated. It was removed and the walls repaired and repainted. The room also underwent redesign to leverage the beautiful fireplace.

With an updated fireplace with a seamless shiplap backdrop, the clean lines and ceiling detail keep this living area fresh and current.

This six-bedroom home — all with en-suite bathrooms — is a brand new home on one of Lincoln Park's most desirable streets. The neo-Georgian, brick and limestone façade features well-crafted detailing both inside and out. The lower recreation level is expansive, with 9-foot ceilings throughout. The first floor houses elegant living and dining areas, as well as a large kitchen with attached great room, and the second floor holds an expansive master suite with a spa bath and vast walk-in closets. A grand, elliptical staircase ascends throughout the home, concluding in a sunlit penthouse providing access to an expansive roof deck and sweeping views of the city..

This elegant 2600 sf home epitomizes swank city living in the heart of Los Angeles. Originally built in the late 1970's, this Century City home has a lovely vintage style which we retained while streamlining and updating. The lovely bold bones created an architectural dream canvas to which we created a new open space plan that could easily entertain high profile guests and family alike.

The old brick fireplace was removed and new custom gas insert installed. New stacked split face stone stretched wall to window & balanced the new larger room.

The Family Room has very tall ceilings so white wainscoting was used to visually lower the height of the room when seated around the new gas fireplace. Clean white display accents provide contrast without too much visual clutter. John Wilbanks Photography

This large bedroom was previously dark and drab with brown walls and all dark wood furniture, We updated every inch of this room with a fresh coat of white paint, a fireplace makeover and all new furnishings. This is now a soft and relaxing place for this couple to relax in at the end of a long day. With ample room for furniture, we were able to create a seating area at the foot of the bed for lounging in front of the fire.

Stone textured plaster applied to the bricks and glazed.
