This project represents an increasingly popular type of project - combining 2 bedrooms into a single master suite. The house is a 1910 craftsman, with 4 bedrooms on the second floor. Typical of older homes, the master bedroom had a very small bathroom, and very little closet space. The owners decided to sacrifice an adjacent guest bedroom to create a spacious master suite. The new rooms include a large bathroom, with hers and his vanities, separate toilet room, custom tile shower and soaking tub. The extra space also allowed us to install a luxurious custom walk-in closet. Design Criteria: - Increase size and utility of closet space. - Create a large, luxury bathroom with distinctly separate hers/his spaces. Special Features: - Custom tile shower, with frameless glass door - Platform soaking tub w/ custom tile deck - His/Hers vanities with quartz countertops. - Separate toilet room. - Room-sized walk-in closet with custom cabinet system. - Custom 5-Panel doors and built-up mouldings to match the original woodwork.

Inspiration for a hallway remodel in Philadelphia

When you first walk into this dressing room, it’s the lighting that jumps out at you first. Each shelf is illuminated to show the brilliant colors and texture of the clothing. Light even pours through the big windows and draws your eye across the rooftops of Brooklyn to see the NYC skyline. It creates a feeling of brightness and positivity that energizes and enlivens. It’s a dressing room where you can look and feel your best as you begin your day. Featured in a modern Italian Melamine and tastefully accented with complementing Matte Nickel hardware and Clear Acrylic handle pulls, this Chic Brooklyn Dressing Room proves to be not only stylish, but functional too. This custom closet combines both high and low hanging sections, which afford you enough room to organize items based on size. This type of mechanism offers more depth than a standard hanging system. The open shelving offers a substantial amount of depth, so you have plenty of space to personalize your room with mementos, collectibles and home decor. Adjustable shelves also give you the freedom to store items of all sizes from large shoe and boot boxes to smaller collectibles and scarves. A functional key to closet design is being able to visualize and conveniently access items. There’s also something very appealing about having your items neatly displayed - especially when it comes to shoes. Our wide shoe shelves were purposely installed on a slant for easy access, allowing you to identify and grab your favorite footwear quickly and easily. A spacious center island provides a place to relax while spreading out accessories and visualizing more possibilities. This center island was designed with extra drawer storage that includes a velvet lined jewelry drawer. Double jewelry drawers can add a sleek and useful dimension to any dressing room. An organized system will prevent tarnishing and with a designated spot for every piece, your jewelry stays organized and in perfect condition. The space is maximized with smart storage features like an Elite Belt Rack and hook as well as Elite Valet Rods and a pull-out mirror. The unit also includes a Deluxe Pant Rack in a Matte Nickel finish. Thanks to the full-extension ball-bearing slides, everything is in complete view. This means you no longer have to waste time desperately hunting for something you know is hiding somewhere in your closet. Lighting played a huge role in the design of this dressing room. In order to make the contents of the closet fully visible, we integrated a combination of energy efficient lighting options, including LED strip lights and touch dimmers as well as under-mounted shelf lights and sensor activated drawer lights. Efficient lighting options will put your wardrobe in full view early in the mornings and in the evenings when dressing rooms are used most. Dressing rooms act as a personal sanctuary for mixing and matching the perfect ensemble. Your closet should cater to your personal needs, whether it’s top shelving or extra boot and hat storage. A well designed space can make dressing much easier - even on rushed mornings.

Our challenge on this project was to accommodate the client's large shoe collection in her small walk-in. To do that, we utilized some deep slide-out shelves that allowed the customer to store more than she otherwise would have had space for.

This dreamy women's walk in is filled with wall to wall elegance. The light cabinetry & glass doors keep the room looking open and airy while still offering a cozy place to relax and unwind. While some nicer pieces are displayed in the glass cases there is still plenty of storage space for other items. With plenty of shelving for so many gorgeous shoes, a shoe mirror on the island was a must. The island also offers drawer space and can be used as a dressing table.

The bedroom space is quiet and cozy. Separated from the rest of the house by the connecting stairway. The bedroom windows overlook the trees in the rear and side yards. Adjacent walk in closet, storage closet, and utility closet provide valuable storage. The barn door closes off the stairwell and a pocket door conceals the walk in closet.

Compact wine cellars are gorgeous and such a fantastic addition to any home. This glass front wine cellar / glass wine cellar in Solana Beach, San Diego, California, is a perfect example of turning that under-utilized closet or niche space. Located directly off of the dining room, this modern wine cellar blends style and utility, incorporating features such as triple deep wine racking with glass, stone, wood, and stainless steel. A contemporary look melding perfectly with this more traditional style home. Design Build team at Vintage Cellars was also commissioned to create a unique and stylish wooden backing, to ensure that the metal wine pegs really popped. Custom walnut stain was placed on Alder wood paneling, custom fit with metal wine rack pegs from floor to ceiling. We worked directly with Noe Design Co to create a one of a kind entrance into this cellar. The highest quality stainless steel framing and double pane thermally insulated glass were placed on the front wall to not only maintain a beautiful look, but to also ensure that this wine room kept a perfect 55 degree temperature with constant relative humidity. This small wine cellar / glass wine cellar / small wine room has a ducted cooling system - utilizing a Wine Guardian placed into the ceiling.
