A remodeled modern kitchen. We removed an 8' dropped ceiling and took it to the rooms existing 13' vault line to take advantage of height and incorporate more natural light in with the transom windows, skylights, front windows, and backsplash windows. With no windows or natural light, we used a combination of artificial light, open space, and white walls to brighten this master bath remodel. Over the white, we layered a sophisticated palette of finishes that embrace color, pattern, and texture: 1) long hex accent tile in “lemongrass” gold from Walker Zanger (mounted vertically for a new take on mid-century aesthetics); 2) large format slate gray floor tile to ground the room; 3) textured 2X10 glossy white shower field tile (can’t resist touching it); 4) rich walnut wraps with heavy graining to define task areas; and 5) dirty blue accessories to provide contrast and interest. Custom finish carpentry fireplace overhaul featuring a natural wood mantel with classic crown molding profile detail built over a traditional brick fireplace and hearth. Includes a floor-to-ceiling vertical tongue-and-groove pine wood accent wall above the mantel, designed with a recessed TV mounting cutout and hidden wire pass-through, framed by exposed vaulted ceiling beams.

The master bath has beautiful details from the rift cut white oak inset cabinetry, to the mushroom colored quartz countertops, to the brass sconce lighting and plumbing... it creates a serene oasis right off the master.

Raft Island Kitchen Redesign & Remodel Project Overview Located in the beautiful Puget Sound this project began with functionality in mind. The original kitchen was built custom for a very tall person, The custom countertops were not functional for the busy family that purchased the home. The new design has clean lines with elements of nature . The custom oak cabinets were locally made. The stain is a custom blend. The reclaimed island was made from local material. ..the floating shelves and beams are also reclaimed lumber. The island counter top and hood is NEOLITH in Iron Copper , a durable porcelain counter top material The counter tops along the perimeter of the kitchen is Lapitec.
