Bathroom - craftsman bathroom idea in San Francisco

A cabin in Western Wisconsin is transformed from within to become a serene and modern retreat. In a past life, this cabin was a fishing cottage which was part of a resort built in the 1920’s on a small lake not far from the Twin Cities. The cabin has had multiple additions over the years so improving flow to the outdoor space, creating a family friendly kitchen, and relocating a bigger master bedroom on the lake side were priorities. The solution was to bring the kitchen from the back of the cabin up to the front, reduce the size of an overly large bedroom in the back in order to create a more generous front entry way/mudroom adjacent to the kitchen, and add a fireplace in the center of the main floor. Located on the pristine Glenn Lake in Eureka, Montana, Robertson Lake House was designed for a family as a summer getaway. The design for this retreat took full advantage of an idyllic lake setting. With stunning views of the lake and all the wildlife that inhabits the area it was a perfect platform to use large glazing and create fun outdoor spaces.

Master Bedroom – Serene, comfortable, and a bit eclectic. The oversized bed with client’s white comforter, white-washed wood night stand, and mahogany 4-poster bed needed a warm grey wall color with matching soft grey silk drapery panels on nickel rod. Guest Bedroom – Warm mid-tone yellow walls in Mansfield Tan #248 – Benjamin Moore Aura Matte. To balance the grey/yellow tones in the existing bedspreads, a geometric grey & yellow mini print fabric was used in padded cornice with box kick pleats and contrasting cording and pleats in bright yellow. Valance sits over a Hunter Douglas Silhouette shade. Tablecloth in same grey & yellow mini print with contrasting yellow jumbo cording. Accent pillows finish the room.
