When planning this custom residence, the owners had a clear vision – to create an inviting home for their family, with plenty of opportunities to entertain, play, and relax and unwind. They asked for an interior that was approachable and rugged, with an aesthetic that would stand the test of time. Amy Carman Design was tasked with designing all of the millwork, custom cabinetry and interior architecture throughout, including a private theater, lower level bar, game room and a sport court. A materials palette of reclaimed barn wood, gray-washed oak, natural stone, black windows, handmade and vintage-inspired tile, and a mix of white and stained woodwork help set the stage for the furnishings. This down-to-earth vibe carries through to every piece of furniture, artwork, light fixture and textile in the home, creating an overall sense of warmth and authenticity.

For those who love to bath together, the aptly named Spoon 2 bathtub is made to measure. With interior dimensions of 45.5” long at the bottom, flaring out to 62.75 inches at the top, this bath is easily suited to even two 6 ft plus bathers. The generous depth adds to the overall luxurious spaciousness of this very ‘companionable’ free-standing bath tub. Aquatica’s Spoon 2 black and white tub is one of our more unique egg-shaped freestanding bathtubs, with a contemporary and upscale design, which has been manufactured using our innovative stone AquateX™ material. Accenting the teal glass backsplash tile is the cozy window seat with a colorful vibrant diamond pattern. In Small spaces you need to maximize every inch. In this space a custom bench seat was made to not only cozy up and read a book but also to use as storage for bigger beach items like umbrellas and an additional air mattress! A reading light and plug were added to the wall for additional light while reading and a place to change your phone while in use. The layered patterned pillows add fun and excitement to the small corner space. With a touch of beach decor the small studio apartment does not become overwhelmed with clique items.
