We have had the pleasure of working with Hillson Homes over the past 17 years through four projects: original construction of our home, finishing our basement, and two renovations in 2016 and 2019. In our most recent project, Hillson Homes completed the renovation of our kitchen, ensuite bathroom and main bathroom. Once again, we were extremely pleased with the quality of work that was completed on time and within budget by the Hillson Homes team. Dan, Mike, and Keri-Dawn providing outstanding support throughout our project, providing great design ideas and being responsive to our questions from start to finish. We first contacted Dan Hill of Hillson Homes based on a friend's experience and excellent renovation work Hillson had performed on their home. Dan, being a professional engineer registered with APEGA, enhanced our confidence that any work performed, would be completed properly and our dealings would be in a professional manner. Dan made himself available to us on site to review potential homes we found that could be renovated; pointing out positives and negatives of each existing home and cost estimates on any homes that had potential to move forward on. Once a home for renovation was decided on; we engaged Hillson Homes and an interior designer Hillson recommended. We worked very well with the designer. A detailed cost estimate was provided based on a mutually agreed design of the renovation. The site foreman assigned to the project was extremely personable, available and patient with all our questions during the renovation process. An agreed to start date was met, the renovation was significant and would take 4 months and that time was met. Costs have come in very close to estimates; in fact we are expecting it to be slightly under. The follow-up after completion has been excellent with site visits by the site foreman to review any minor deficiencies and engage the trades to make repairs quickly and efficiently. Overall the experience has been excellent and we would whole heartedly recommend Hillson Homes.

This was our first new home build, and we are so glad that we chose Hillson Homes as our builder. All the staff are professional, reliable, friendly and personable. We were referred to Hillson Homes by our neighbour who had an extensive renovation on their home which turned out beautifully. Although our renovation would be considered more of an update of our home, we were more than happy with the professionalism in both the face to face conversations and the detail provided in written correspondence beginning with the contract and budget breakdown right through to the final invoice. The quality of their work was exceptional and any follow-up or questions were dealt with promptly. Their entire staff (including sub-trades) are a pleasure to deal with. We have since recommended them to another neighbour and are planning to use Hillson again on a renovation of our parents home.

A big project with the total renovation of the main floor of a house built in the 1970's in the Silver Springs area of northwest Calgary. Floor joists needed to be shaved to level the floor for hardwood flooring, a new kitchen required upgraded electrical/plumbing and venting, the two upstairs bathrooms were found to be leaking and required remediation, all door and window mouldings were upgraded, windows added to the kitchen, new recessed lighting was added throughout main level with drywall texturing changed to knockdown. Communication was outstanding with daily visits and updates during construction, and total involvement in the design and selection process. The project came in on time and on budget and exceeded all our expectations. It was like we moved into a new house. The quality of the finished product was first class and we have received numerous compliments from our friends on the work. A company we would highly recommend for any construction project ranging from a small renovation to a total new build.

After living in my home for twenty-four years I decided that it was time for a major update! During the Renomark open house tour I met Dan Hillson of Hillson Homes. Had to the opportunity to view one of their projects which was very impressive. Immediately, I had a great 1st impression about Hillson Homes being a highly reputable company. Shortly thereafter, within four months I had an amazing new home! The whole process was seamless and a very enjoyable experience. They have a strategy in place to ensure the expectations of their clients are met or exceeded! Every detail of the project was thoroughly reviewed prior to proceeding so that no misunderstandings occurred (ie. supplier quotes, design drawings of ensuite shower, ensuite closet, and built-ins around the fireplace). this was achieved threw excellent on-going open communication (even while I was out of the country for one month, I received weekly e-mails updating me ), methodical process for preconstruction /product selections, and very knowledgeable and amiable project managers(Luke and Mike). With their organizational skill sets the project was completed under the allotted timeframe. Behind the scenes , Keri- Dawn fulfils a key administrative role pertaining to product selections. The expertise (recommendations) and workmanship (installation)by the various subtrades and suppliers was superb. Any deficiencies were readily rectified within the 1st month. On a monthly basis I received detailed reports regarding the work completed and an analysis of the costs incurred in relation to the proposed budget. I went over budget largely due to my product selections and additional work that I had requested. I am very grateful to each member of the Hillson team (Dan, Keri-Dawn, Luke, Mike and Dave) for their instrumental roles to facilitating my renovation project!
