Perfection!!! We met Joan and her team when we purchased our first condo in Naples, Florida back in December 2015. We had many challenges to overcome with a family of four living in a small space. We met with three designers for our project. It was Joan and her team who went the extra mile. She provided us with vision boards, materials, color palates, and my husband and I had an instant connection with her and her team. We immediately hired her. Joan has impeccable taste, true professionalism, and a wonderful sense of style and elegance. We fell in love with her creative ideas to maximize our space, the fabrics/countertops/wall paper/artwork/tilework selections she suggested, her overall vision and attention to details, timely communication, and most importantly felt safe with her and her team working on our project while we lived in our primary home back in CT. Joan provided a cosmetic overhaul (brightening) of our great room, kitchen, master bed & bathrooms & study. This included painting, tile (kitchen), drapes (great room & MBR), furniture (new & re upholstering), lamps, chandeliers & many various sundries. She nicely incorporated items that we had. AND she did & supervised all this during the summer while we were away- so we did not have to live through it- sending samples to us to choose from. She has a great eye for color & is open & fun to work with- I would recommend her.

Joan Simonsen Hickok Interiors renovated our flat, ceilings, floors, electrical system, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, new study, etc. Joan was experienced, exquisite taste and attention to detail, such as the ceilings, doors, beautiful stone, oversaw the building works, choose excellent builders and made sure they did the job to a high specification, delivered on time and on budget. Joan helped us focus on the important details and areas which we saw the most value for money and later when we sold this flat it was highly sought after due to her design and we achieved a very high price per square foot. The interior design style reflected our vision of living by the sea in a comfortable yet sophisticated "European style" Florida flat. Joan personally has the best intuition and personal knowledge of fabrics, history of the architectural styles, furniture and lighting and works to the brief of any client. I live in London where we have good designers however Joan stands out as one of the best I have ever seen. Joan also has endless energy and works non stop to get the job done and leave the client happy. Her billing is detailed, honest and completely clear. One could not appoint a better design firm!
