I started My Favorite Things in 1996. I have roots in retail from a very young age. Almost from birth, I have been around retail. My grandfather had a store in Franklin and I loved to go there and help. One thing that I loved to do was rearrange the shelves so all of the similar products could be together. Looking back that must have really annoyed my grandfather, but he never said a word! As a teenager I worked at other local stores and gained more retail experience. Later on I attended Western Carolina University and received a degree in textiles and design with a concentration in marketing and small business management. After I had my son I opened My Favorite Things and haven’t looked back.
