Custom Wine Cellar Builders Near Ridgefield

“Chris and Rob could not be more professional, caring, honest, immensely knowledgable and quality driven when it comes to building wine cellars. While my project was certainly not a large cellar, they extended ultimate care during the entire process. They are nice guys and built a wine cellar for me that exceeded my every expectation. I cannot thank them enough. My Custom Wine Cellar, designed and built by Chris and Rob, has become my favorite room in my home. The pictures below do not do justice to the excellent appearance of my cellar.”

“WineStudio transformed my ugly basement workshop in our nearly 100 year old house into a gorgeous wine cellar. This space originally housed a "prohibition wine cellar" which was closet with a secret back wall. The new design incorporated a nod to the original "cellar" and keeps the spirit of the space alive. It was a big undertaking. The project involved designing the cellar, addressing some old pipes, gas lines, drainage, and unanticipated flooding issues in addition to providing the proper insulation, refrigeration, and humidification controls. The room cellar stores about 1800 bottles. It has a beautiful slate stone floor, wood shelving and counter space, and lighting. I highly recommend Steve, Tim and Wine Studio.”

“We hired Fred and the team at New England Wine Cellars last year to build a wine cellar as part of our overall basement renovation. Fred was extremely knowledgeable about everything related to wine cellar design, from rack styles that were best suited to the types of wine in our collection to HVAC needs. He came up with some wonderful design ideas, including an arched ceiling that became one of the focal points of the cellar, riddling rack display shelving for champagne bottles and an island with a glass-topped counter for display of large format bottles. He was able to fully customize all the shelving throughout the cellar to get our desired mix of rack types that included pull-out drawers, display shelving (including horizontal display racks for large formats) and the riddling rack as well as individual bottle, diamond bins, bulk bins and OWC racks. The quality of the materials and workmanship was exceptional. Fred worked seamlessly with the contractor that was working on our overall basement project and provided input where needed, but was also happy to let the contractor's team take the lead when necessary. The team was very professional throughout the process, the project was completed in a timely manner once we finalized the design, and we are extremely happy with the results. Overall, New England Wine Cellars built us a beautiful wine cellar and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a professional quality cellar.”
