What type of house?

Hello all,
I'm trying to find out the style of these homes. I know its a ranch. Searching around i don't find anything similar, probably because im searching for the wrong type of home. I'm trying to see how people have remodeled or make it more contemporary. Would like to see some idea's. Seems these homes where build in the 80's.

Any help would be great!

I've heard these types of houses called "70's Soft Contemporary Ranch"

it looks like from your roofline you have a lot of opportunities for some gorgeous ceilings and wide open spaces like the Eichler house.

Whoops, was only looking at the first picture when I typed that; the last house looks like a late 1970s/early 1980s contemporary tract house. The others look a bit older to me, perhaps they are from the '60s or '70s?

I might call them "Brady Bunch Houses" and I do NOT mean that in a bad way ;)

Last comment, I swear, but have you tried looking at atomic ranches? They may not be an exact match for the style but you might find some good ideas.

I live in the "valley" Encino,ca
There are a ton of these houses here and I live in one!
My house was built in 1973, here they are called California ranch.
I have learned there are 2 ways to go with these homes- traditional or post and beam modern. I have gone modern.

That actually looks like an late 1960's or early 1970's home. Go to the local government office where real estate property titles are filed. OR it should actually be on YOUR mortage! They have to put the date the home was built? I love this house - it is definitely PERIOD or PERIOD reproduction - but check your mortgage and get back to us.
