I am doing a renovation of an 8ft. x 12 ft. galley kitchen located in an apartment. After installation of cabinetry, which includes under mount lighting, and appliances, there will be a span of aprx 3 ft x 12 ft that will require lighting. The ceiling is 9ft. high. Cabinetry is white, counter top cararra marble and cararra subway tiles for back splash. Should I install a central light fixture or 3 pendant lights mounted on short stems. I would very much like to do something fun and interesting. Is there a formula to guide the selection?
