I believe you have more than one discussion going. Please eliminate one. My comments were similar to Groveraxle's. We need to see the other end of the room and you need to arrange the furniture first.

Once we see the entrance to the room, we can help you rearrange. You do not need more furniture.

If there is carpeting on the floor, you don't need a rug.

Drapes come last, usually. If you buy busy drapes, you are tied into them. I would recommend more neutral drapes, which will feel right if you add accents first.

I am going to assume that wall is the opening?

If so, I would

1)) Put the tv on the wall opposite where it is now
2) Move one of the sofas where the tv currently is (pulled out from the wall)
3) Place the 2 chairs on either side of the tv.

The new photos are helpful, but we still need a pic of the wall opposite the TV. From what I can see, the TV probably belongs on the wall between the windows where the sofa is now.

Also, can you give us the dimensions of the room? That will help us come up with a better plan.
