I've been trying to decide on my color scheme for my living room for a while. I've been going between a purple or blue for a while. My tiles are a mix of shades of brown. My sofa is a brown leather with a dark tan cushion and my walls are white.

I wanted to go with purple. Can I mix shades of blue? If not, what other color could I use?

Should I go with the blue because I found everything for it? Or should I go with the purple like I originally wanted? I'm not going to be changing the color scheme for a while. Oh also my living room is open to the dining room which is right off the kitchen. My apt. is an open concept.
