Both of these self sow in my garden and I don't see any mention of them requiring a warm moist period before chilling - you should be safe in sowing and putting the pots outdoors now. (protect from sparrows)

Druse (Making More Plants) Sow outdoors in Fall, or moist cold minimum 21 days followed by sow at 60-65F. Germination may take as long as 180 days and not all seeds will germinate at the same time, so leave the pots intact 6 months.

Sisyrinchiums always germinate at 60-70F for me. For more info, see the link.

Thanks, folks, for the information! I now plan to plant the seeds and put them outside for the winter. By the way, here in the mid-island, we're getting our first snow today (Nov. 25)!
