Actually, I'd like an idea of what type of siding/material to use on the new garage. This picture shows the original garage that is now gone and will be replaced by a shed roof, two car. The house is redwood siding but I thought a contrasting finish would be nice. Everything will be repainted. New front door, etc. Ideas welcome!

I like to use rain screen systems on houses, which usually involves using cement board siding. I also like using cedar siding with deep reveals to create a new and interesting character to the home. Do you have a picture of the home you can send?

Love the house, was initially looking at this thread of comments for the stucco paint color you used, we are doing cedar siding also with a rain screen - how are you using cement board siding in the process?

I am getting very interested in black for my entire MCM. It's bold and different. Any comments?
