I've wanted to find a thread that is more Interior Design Theory oriented or comment oriented on Pro designers.

For instance, what designs do you see in the pictures that you like the most? Like the least?

I tend to like the modern styles with brighter colors but some contrasts as well.

Sometimes, I like the monochrome designs and even the white rooms with a pop of color here and there....

But sometimes, when I see a designed room that is all white or all beige, I just can't help but think "You're cheating...."

What do you mean their cheating with white or beige backgrounds? To answer you questions, I like bright, dark kitchens for example with the opposite of back splashes. Meaning a dark kitchen with a bright pop of back splash color is always nice. I tend to like a sexier looking atmosphere. I also enjoy the metallic back splashes. I tend to like a lot of different styles. Modern and traditional are a couple. Not to crazy about contemporary. However, I don't care for any rooms to look cold and un inviting . I would respectfully disagree with you Frank. Whenever I see an all white or beige room I see a lot of skill in combining the myriad shades of white/beige, while adding the right touches of texture and contrast to keep the room from looking bland or boring. I so admire restraint in design. This room for example is sheer perfection.
