Hey, Lyfia, I DO like that you can choose how to display the posts! I recognize some posts by the room or object they're posting about, so this is good for me :)

I find it much faster to skim the threads. It takes me a fraction of the time to 'see what the latest forum topics are' than it did in prior iterations of the site. I also think I will post more here, because it's easier to type and post a quick response.

Thanks for letting me know about the different views! I also like having a thumbnail. Although I dislike Houzz having to host and therefore own our photos, I like having the ability to upload multiple photos at a time to a post.

1. If you hover over a user's name you get a mini info window and can follow them, see # of ideabooks and total # of comments they've posted.

2. Adding photos, videos, links is so much easier here.

3. For better or worse, Houzz is on the social media radar more than the old forum. Would be great if Houzz became a "network" on Klout so participation here counted toward your Klout score.

I like that the GW was not completely taken away from us like so many other boards have been in the past. Fro that I have to say a big THANK YOU, to Houzz.

I see I can sort by Latest Activity, Featured, Popular or Unanswered. What are the striped buttons to the right of that for? (Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere).

I just discovered that I can sort search results by 'relevance' which is great for forums that were more active in the past than they are now.

I like that in my profile under activity I can see a list of the posts I've started. It still shows I've "commented" on 0 though.

I have not learned all the tricks that you all seem to have discovered, but now I know what to look for. I do think it is easier to read than before. I also like that you can add a picture to your name.

Is easier to see the content of posts.

It's easier to post without having to preview.

I haven't tried adding photos yet but I think I will like being able to add more than one photo.

I had to google Klout. Not at all interested in becoming more visible on the net. Apparently this site is moving more toward facebook and twitter and the Houzz mystic. That isn't me. I used to browse pinterest before it became a password protected site. In the long run, this could be a good thing. I used to get a lot more done inside and outside the house before I started killing time in front of the computer monitor. I miss the old GW forum. I will probably come here to read from time to time but it won't be like the old days. The atmosphere is totally different. Being here now is like having coffee with Lady Mary instead of Mrs. Patmore. In the kitchen forum I've always felt like Elizabeth having coffee with Hyacinth so I don't often go there. I'll see what develops on the kitchen table forum. The same people seem to be on all the forums I read.
