The stair hall. It is 3' x 5' with 3 doors and semi-open stairs. I'm stripping 4 coats of paint from the woodwork then repainting (the woodwork is not of good quality.) The stairs are old, narrow and steep. There isn't enough room to replace them with new, up to code stairs. So I will replace the weak bannister and replace the drywall at the base of the stairs and the side wall. The stairs are painted a dark green. They will need to be stripped too. I am looking forward to finishing the work because I can see in my mind's eye the final result.

Master bedroom suite. I have the whole plan worked out in my head, and it is going to be even more awesome than my last bathroom remodel. Just waiting for the optimal time with retirement/taxable income.

We're tackling the guest bedroom, but keeping it minimal as it's a small room. Paint will make a huge difference. Already have all the wall art and furniture for it.

Dinigroom/livingroom in a hundred year old home. There is no insulation in the exterior walls and the electric is knob and tube.

We just finished moving the kitchen into the former dining room of our old Victorian home, and now we are going to turn the former kitchen into a new family room. Just put down new hardwood flooring, and removed the hideous plywood paneling to expose the original bead board wainscoting underneath. Also removed some plaster on one wall, for exposed brick, and it looks gorgeous.

We kept some of the original kitchen cabinets, and put in a new quartz counter, and bar sink, and...as a little present for my husband and son...a built-in kegerator. They seem to like the idea. Still have to finish painting, and then more painting, and moving furniture and hanging up curtains...and then possibly a bit of painting.

So far we have redone three bedrooms, living room, including a fireplace face lift and now I have everything lined up to re-do the main bath. Then it is on to the kitchen, as soon as I get the cupboards and appliances I want. I have been waiting 12 years for this, so I`m really in the mood, plus I love the demolition part!

Living / dining room. We need to unify our color scheme, arrange furniture and carve out a video/game playing area. A wine bar would also be nice.

Two bathrooms down, one DISASTER of a bathroom to go....

Working on repurposing our oak entertainment center to a coffee table. This is day one and so far no hiccups in taking it apart.

we just tore out two walls, put in a supporting beam, put up a wall, and are starting in on the fireplace demo. Once we have that converted to a double-sided unit, then we will finish with new flooring and windows. Oh yeah, and since we moved walls, we will be doing the ceiling as well as the adjacent rooms (entry, dining, and kitchen). It is never ending over here!

The kitchen is getting a complete do over. Cabinets, flooring, ceiling, countertops, paint and tiles.

Working (with 100% outside assistance; we're not very handy, sadly) on a living/dining room reno: pulled out contractor-grade fireplace that generated no heat, extended wood floors, and added a wood burning stove on other side of room to reorient views to the mountains. Coming soon are built-in cabinets where fireplace sat, new French deck doors with built-in blinds to save fading floors (!), and smoothing popcorn ceilings with new lighting! Can't wait for spring to wrap it up!

Moving into my new home I know the kitchen is quite dated. It was built in 1959 and everything looks original except for the refrigerator. I plan to put somewhere between $2-3K into it; nothing too crazy but a bit more up to date. I plan to reface the cabinets and swap out hardware, install an 18" dishwasher, install a new sink with garbage disposal and install porcelain tile. If I can find a good deal, install a range hood and new light fixture. I enjoy cooking and I enjoy eating. The kitchen is literally the center of the house so I figure it will set the tone for the rest of the house. I'm really looking forward to doing this over the summer as I continue to research and gather inspiration on here :)

We're gearing up for the MBR & ensuite powder room. The MBR is down to studs. New insulation. Drywall. Electrical sockets with USB ports. Flooring. Lighting. Discussing built-in armories similar to a picture put into the MBR "look book".

Husband wants to try his hand at installing tongue & grove wood planks to give the room a cottage/nautical/beachy feeling. And cedar panelling to the two walk-in closets.

We plan on disassembling the current wall length bathroom vanity with sink. Replacing it with either a pedestal sink or "something else". Not sure what we'll find that needs to be fixed first, tho. I'd like to do the PR first & turn it into a wet room. Work from the PR out then MBR.

The MRB walls have been down for over a year now. We really need to get them up before this year's hurricane season. So, MBR it is.

The sunroom! We'd love to tile it; it has wall to wall indoor-outdoor carpeting, and we have very little in it because we didn't have a sunroom in our last home. So I've been obsessing about furniture to make it a cozy sunroom/mudroom, a place where the kids can keep some outdoor toys, the dog-walking stuff lives, and where we can lounge in the sun... I'm overwhelmed with the choices out there!

My husband broke the sink trying to remove a 28 yr old bathroom faucet. So when he removed the sink he destroyed the tile counter top. Looks like a new bathroom is in order. We were not planning on doing a remodel until maybe next year since I have multiple projects going on right now. Now I want to remodel the entire bathroom but the expense is killing me. So we will have to do it a little at a time. The biggest expense will be replacing the shower/tub with new tile since we cannot do this ourselves and installing the quartz countertop. The rest I will do myself.

Building a two story, 2 car garage with plumbing & a storm shelter.

Demo has commenced! Wall between kitchen and great is coming out along with old yellowed maple cabinets and flooring, appliances, flooring, stipple ceilings, wall niches and columns and electrical fixtures.

We had our contractor redo our master and hall bath. They started in June and finished in November. It took the tile man 4 1/2 weeks just to install the carrara in the master. Whew! We just finished installing a new foyer chandelier with a pulley system to lower it for cleaning. We did that ourselves and now are moving on to the laundry room. Washer and dryer need to b reversed as well as plumbing as well as painting out the cabinets and replacing tile. My husband has to figure out how to do all that and still keep the appliances going. Got to do that laundry!!!

I have just (almost) finished a 600' addition. Now I have to pay for it (gulp), then paint the outside and do a few repairs to the basement. Sure would like to redo the kitchen. Soon...

We would gladly keep the 30 year old kitchen as is (shiny white cabinets are back in style), but the refrigerator died, some floor tiles are cracked, a little bit of the formica is separating from the backing, one of the ovens doesn't get hot enough, dishwasher is temperamental and the doors to the patio shifted so there's a little gap that lets air come straight in -- and that's very cold air in this New York winter! We're told not to expect any of the new stuff to last 30 years :-(

As our kitchen is big enough to hold our dining room table, we don't need the formal dining room area so my wife donated that space to me. It will become a micro theatre.

I am struggling with home office , it is sizable but with odd wall space, had to go with some custom cabinetry as there was limited choice with ready made.

To put it VERY mildly, I'm not tackling my bedroom, it's tackling me.

I have a cute little ranch house on an acre. the entry way day was in need of much love, but I have a tight budget. so I've been letting my creative juices flow! even the stall style doors are paint! all of it is hand painted to give it a nice focal point without costing a fortune, and adding personal flair

We're going to be building a home to grow old in ........ No smaller just a few things to make it possible to age in place; elevator, master on the main floor, etc..

i thought we were doing our pool area but our daughter just got engaged so i guess our next project is a wedding.

My son is moving out, so my daughter will be taking over his room...lots of changes there and her room will become a dressing room/guest room, so have a bit of configuration to do. This has also triggered pulling up the rug in all of the bedrooms and hall, as theres is hardwood and now's the time. Dread having to move all of the furniture and not be able to go upstaris for a few days though.

We are planning on closing in our lanai with sliding glass doors to be used as an art room and all season board games room.

We are doing a small home office in one of our attic spaces. The space is probably 8x10. Putting in a window and lining one wall with rustic looking pallet boards. Putting up whitewashed boards on the ceiling
and floor. Putting cedar in the closet. Under the rafters where the ceiling hits the wall ( sometimes where people put storage) we are putting two, maybe three cots with rollers so we have beds to roll out for the grand kids when they visit. Trying to tackle this after the holidays.

We are starting our kitchen project this coming week, after ordering cabinets, etc in August. We had some unexpected delays. I wasn't too happy about the delays, but on the plus side, I have changed mind a few times on many of the products. For example we started out with quartz for the countertop, changed to granite, and now changed to a different choice in granite. I think I'll be glad for the delays in the long run. It's so important to make the right decisions.

Next project - finishing our basement to maximize living space in our home.
