This is a kitchen we built. Because it is sealed, it is waterproof, but not used as a cutting board. Cleaned with soap and water, like a piece of furniture. The island is [custom] made of rustic knotty alder (114" x 64") by Rob Estrada at Lakeshore Home Gallery in Lakeway, Texas - just outside of Austin.

I think you meant to say backsplash. I believe the item you are referring to is the tap. It extends from the wall in order to fill large pots with water without having to carry them from the sink.

The two frame are basically for billboards at base ball games where you'd attach flyers and a thin piece of plexy glass that would slide in to cover the flyers. The 2 frames measure 3x5 ft. They'd be perfect to create my own. I bought the dry erase marker paint. I figured I'd buy flat wood, paint it then nail gun it, to the frame back. I don't think wood would be the best surface for the dry erase paint. I know dry wall, after a coat of regular paint then I'll apply a couple coats of the dry erase paint, that would be more ideal as the DE paint is for walls. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
