Area rug help

I recently received my new furniture. I am using blue as my unifying color on my first floor. I need some sort of area rug for this room, but I can't find anything I like to go with this busier print on the chairs. I don't want to spend a lot. Any suggestions.

Look for abstracts, overdyes, rugs with a much larger pattern than the chairs or no pattern at all.

You could use a solid color for your rug, maybe beige.

I'd really like to do something more interesting. Solid is a fall back, but there must be something more fun I could find. My house is generally transitional.

Hi croscher,

Is the darker color in the pattern a navy, black, charcoal....or none of the above?

And are you hoping to incorporate a shade of blue in the rug?

Yeah grays seem the most natural, and/or the light blue in the chair material. You want to leave some space for breath among the patterns, so I think Grover is onto something with more subdued patterns. You still need some art over the brown couch, which is another good place for color and interest.

Groveraxle: I like the one with the swirls. Is that a sage color? Where is that from?

The chair is navy, light blue, sage green, cinnamon, and beige. The love seat is cinnamon.
