The most popular white right now for cabinets is BM white dove

Decorators white is a very bright white, I would not use that one. I personally love simply white.

is BM sea pearl too not white? thats the color of my cabinets and i love it.

I used BM Frostline on my shaker cabinets and all the house trim for that matter.

seapearl on the BM website and it looks like it has undertones of green and
grey, but your cabinets look white. I
know the lighting in everyone’s home is different. I can’t even determine from my own kitchen
because we will be getting pot lights.

@juudean – did you mean Frostine? Your cabinets are very nice! Thanks for the pictures! I saw hints of green
on the BW website, but your wall color is blue, yet, it all ties in nicely. I personally don’t want anything with green
undertones though.

I went to a BM store last night to pick up color samples for the
rest of our house, and based on our new color scheme, the suggestions for white
were White Diamond and Vanilla Milkshake. I didn't need anymore whites ... lol

White Diamond looks very similar to Decorators White, so I’m
leaning towards Vanilla Milkshake, Simply White, or White Dove.

Sea pearl or pale oak by BM

We used Sea Pearl not only for the cabinets, but all of the trim in the house. For reference, here is the stairs and trim in Sea Pearl.

Ann...yes, it is Frostine! The color on the BM website doesn't accurately represent what we ended up with. I'm not seeing any green hue in my cabinets/ trim...

We used Sherwin Williams Kemvar conversion varnish and we had it matched to BM Winter White OC-21 for the cabinets and trim in this kitchen.

I haven't had a chance to take any yet. I went to the BM store and selected all the whites I could find, then I went home and just taped them to my existing cabinets, then I looked at the paint chips at different times of the day, and with lights on/off. We had over 12 different whites. The Chantilly Lace is a very bright white and to me, the tone looks neutral, but our kitchen is south facing. I would suggest you do the same to narrow it down because the Internet doesn't really show the true colors as opposed to in your own home. It would also depend on your wall colors, counter tops, flooring, etc. Does your cabinet supplier have samples to show you? Ours had a sample in Cloud White and we took it home to compare. I hope that helps.

I have many samples as well. I hated the white dove. It looked dingy to me. I just wanted to make sure that Chantilly Lace doesn't look icy blue or yellow once it is in the entire kitchen. I saw one poster say it looked yellow....another said it was cold/stark. I never knew how hard it would be. Do you see either of these colors in yours?

Keep in mind that other colors you have in your kitchen including your lighting, what direction your windows/door faces, wall color, counter tops, floor tiles, back splash, etc. will affect the color. It wouldn't be fair for me to say what tone "my cabinets" look vs. what yours may, because I have grey tones in my entire home. With everything that I've researched and had purchased and installed, in my kitchen, the cabinets look pure white. I can't detect any tones at all. The choices are indeed overwhelming and the process is very stressful. Just look at the paint chips as I mentioned above. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your input! My perimeter counters are a light grayish Quartz and my subway tile will be pure white (larger than 3x 6 ).my island will be a deep charcoal with whitish Quartz on top. My home colors will be on the griege-side since I'm trying to meld some of my brown and tan from the Tuscan trend. I just can't get rid of all furniture, but still want the freshness to go with the white kitchen. I'm definitely down to Chantilly Lace or SW Extra White. Thanks again, Ann!!!

I had my cabinets painted white dove. Had planned on doing some brand of Quartz in a marble look. After my cupboards were painted I took a door to several quarts places. None of them looked too good. I would highly suggest you take a larger sample of your colors and go to someplace that has several brands of Quartz. Then you will be much more likely to select something you are happy with.

@Winterberry Lane - thanks for the suggestion of Oxford White. I recall it was one of our sample colours, but I don't remember why we eliminated it from our list. Our renos are completed though, and I hope we never have to go through it again - it was extremely stressful!

@joviboys - I forgot to mention that we got a nice sized sample from Ceasarstone and put that in our kitchen with our subway tiles and wall colour, all side by side, and it helped us narrow down our choices.

Your home colours are similar to what ours used to be (taupe, browns, earthy colours). We had our entire home repainted with BM and now it's pure white, a bit of greige, and different shades of grey. It'll all be worth it in the end!

I have loads of white cabinets, wainscoting, painted brick, T&G and trim throughout my house and all of it is in BM Simply White. For me, it's perfect!

May be too late, but I would add that the same color will look very different in several homes. So get a sample and paint on a big poster board and view it in your house with your lighting and outdoor reflections. Colors will change quite dramatically.

White Dove is one of their most popular whites. They sell it by gallons in their stores. I have it on all my crown molding and baseboards....very classic.
