9. Big bright pillows on the couches to break the brown a little and go with the color of the walls. Kids can also throw them on the floor and sleep/play with them ( that is why we would use big pillows) otherwise they just look untidy.
Let me know what you agree with and what do you not like. I am open to any criticism.

I will get back to you as soon as i can. I won't forget.

1. empty the room and start with painting.
i suggest light and airy colors like light blues and greens to bounce around the light in basements.
2. place all the sports memorabilia and billiard sticks (if that is what they are called) on the same wall that is the back wall.

3. Place the mirror on the back wall that is at the end of the staircase to give room an illusion of openness.
4. Replace boob lights (yes that is what they are called by some people). with light and airy fixtures. You would probably not spend more then $100 each.

5. Push the couch to more towards the middle of the room so there is more room for the tread mill. Lets all accept the fact that tread mills are big and bulky, making designing difficult but the truth is we will use it more often if we are facing it towards the tv. :)
6. A nice built in for the tv wall, with sleek modern lines. Probably with cabinets at the bottom and shelves on the top.

7. Replace the fan with a more lighter and airy one.

8. I suggest placing art on the close together even if you have more wall space to make them look more cohesive.
Also, the table with the lamp on, moving it to the other side of the couch. You can run an extension from under the couch.
I will also spray paint the black lamp with a more softer color.

Let's not forget a nice big throw (nice the couch is also big). similar in color to the cushions. I would make either the cushions or the throw a floral design.
