Well it is high contrast,................. but whether it's too dark might have to do with the rest of the room. I would recommend switching to a sound bar instead of the separate speakers and burying the cords in the wall.

i believe that depends on what you are trying to achieve. Those both really stand out. the colors on your tv really look great with both. i like the way the tv blends with the wall.
