Great space. I love your style. I would go with pinch pleated drapes in a small geometric pattern.

I would go with thermal blinds. Ones pictured are silver. Then I would do floor to ceiling drapes in a mid century fabric using a ceiling mounted track. Stack on either side so edge of drape just covers window frame.

You could go with some type of shade such as Hunter Douglas Vignette with panels at each end.

I would keep it simple and not add more "visuals" to the room - at least not with the drapes. The room is gorgeous and I'd hate to see it get unnecessarily cluttered, visually speaking.

What about a nice, rich linen in a neutral tone? You could get them lined to help with keeping the cold and heat out. These are RH, just to show an example..

I totally agree with happagrrl. Keep nice clean lines for more expensive items such as drapery... They never go out of style... Or get tiring like a patterned drape. It will be an investment that will be lasting. West elm has gorgeous velvet like heavier curtains in neutral solid colors

Agree with hapagrrl. That's 15 feet of pattern on a wall so I would do texture as opposed to pattern.

Skip the curtains in favor of a simpler shade/ texture at the windows..As suggested, Vignettes or Silhouettes an excellent choice, for their versatility in light and privacy control, and still provide a softening effect with fabric

Guess all the activity of pic taking has alarmed him/her. I miss not having a cat for the first time in my life. I have a beautiful Sun Conure left to me when spouse passed away -- and the cats tended to ignore the bird. But bringing an interloper in might shake things up. I can cuddle with a cat....but my noisy Conure......not so much!

@hapagrl those are almost identical to the ones I had in my shopping cart! Then I got cold feet when it came to choosing Color: grey (like tweed), white, navy or this beige/ brown. I think navy will be too heavy. But white?

As for the cat, she is a Savannah kitten! Playing "you can't see me"... Which I didn't. Lol

Okay - I STILL haven't made a decision. I almost went for this light grey linen-like drape. But my husband and I are both leaning towards this brownish one (smaller thumbnail on the right). What do you think?

I prefer the gray. Picks up the carpet color and has a richer feel.
