Kitchen backsplash

Need help choosing backsplash. I don't want the kitchen to end up too dark but love this stacked stone. I'm also not sure how to handle angles along the backsplash walls. I have 2, 45 degree turns not shown in pictures.
Other pic shows my second choice tile. I don't love it.
Suggestions please.
