We're having custom kitchen cabinets built, and I need to settle on a paint color soon.

The entire downstairs (except for the kitchen) is a wonderful greige called Hopsack, with bright white crown molding and baseboards. (I don't have a swatch of that white.)

I've been looking at Benjamin Moore Dove White. It's gorgeous and looks great with the Hopsack. But it's a bit yellow next to the pure white molding, and there's not a lot of contrast between them.

Honestly, I think most whites will look good with Hopsack. But how does one go about coordinating adjoining whites? Do we need to paint the cabinets a deeper or warmer shade of white so that there's sufficient contrast between the cabinets and the neighboring crown molding, or is it not that big a deal since the crown molding ends at the edge of the kitchen?

EDITED: I should add that I'm not sure I want a brilliant bright white for the cabinets. We get some pretty bright sunshine in the kitchen each morning!
