Need advice on designing an office

We finally are converting our toy room into to it's original designated room, an office. I was thinking of putting a mirror on the wall behind the desk but I would be open to other suggestions. The crystal chandelier is staying, as well as the large desk (also staying, is the matching file cabinet) but the semi-circle desk that is seen shoved in the corner is being sold. The map and anything on the walls will be removed. Any advice on paint colors and wall decor would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
