The chest under the TV is blue although the color doesn't show that well in above photos. The room looks a little bland in photos but have a lot of patterns going on and wall paintings.

Connie do you think it looks a little out of balance with nothing over the sliding glass door? I do agree with you about the gray, both our children have gray everywhere in their houses, for me because parts of our 1920 house is dark, I need something a little more cheerful. thank you. Like the comment from Erinsean privacy is not a problem, just don't want the panels to overwhelm the room that as I mention is small.

The area is a bit .........meh. If the yellow walls are staying, the drapery panels could be stronger.

Great idea, to hid space between rod and molding. The curtains are similar to the top right picture, it is just that the white herringbone design doesn't show in the pictures, the design in more pronounced, in person. What do you think about adding a delft blue design finials to bring out some of the blue in the room, or just leave then plain.

Id leave the curtain hardware simple and add color via more art work in the room or a great blue area rug. Both curtain ideas are good...depends on how privacy, light and personal taste as to whether your patio door curtains close or not. Like your yellow!

Beverly's suggestion is a good one. I like the texture that a bamboo shade would add to the room. I'm not brave enough to use it myself but I love the feeling your yellow room gives! So sunny and welcoming!

Thank you all for your feedback, presently just plan to leave the sliding glass door plain, had a couple of friends stop by, and because the room is small they thought additional panels would be too much. I ordered brighter pillows, a couple with texture, to give the loveseats more interest. The room may appear bland, but I have quite a bit of art work on the walls, can't get a picture of the whole room. I know the buzz word is to make the room POP, I hired a decorator for the living room, without checking on her credentials, she was not accredited found out after , have to live with my costly mistakes, the living room has too much POP. There are several good ideas presented. I like a combination of suggestions, first, because it is a small room I would stay consistent with color and texture for the curtains for the sliding glass doors. Install them higher to give the room the illusion of space like you did for your windows and have them draw to the fixed side when you want them open. I like erinsean's suggestion for the space above the curtain but would recommend a valance. Nice update to your room.

I feel there is too much yellow....I would be doing white linen drapes hung higher and wider than what you have . There is no reason why you cannot do the same over the slider. Pleated drapes will stack neatly at each side of that window.

What a sun-kissed room. SO cheerful! Perhaps a woven wood, sliding panel might do the trick? Adding some texture to play off your rug.

Or a drapery with a elongated hardware so the 'stack back' of the drapery doesn't impede with the door's operation.
