This is the first year I'm trying to grow potatoes. I have limited ground garden space so I'm using 10 gallon grow bags. Planted 3-4 chits per bag in the Spring. They were doing pretty well. Here they were May 22...

Then 2 weeks ago, a huge hail storm came through and wiped out nearly everything that wasn't covered...

But 4 of the 5 bags had 1 or 2 plants that have since survived and started growing new leaves. I'll keep nursing those along to see what I get. No plants in the 5th bag survived though, I so emptied it to see what might have already been growing. Found 16 tubers. Most of them tiny still, but a few of them were already getting up to size...

So, despite losing most of it to hail, it looks like it's working anyway.
