What could be wrong circuit keeps tripping?

Hello

We just removed two light fixtures and want to replace them with new pendent lights. Here my problem we hook white to white black to black and we have a green wire that someone said is neutral.

When we hook wires together and turn power on the connection is fine light stay in. We tested with light bulbs in. Here the problem everytime we raise the fixture back up the wall to put in place. Set it in position go turn on light the circuit breaker trips .

So what could be wrong is wire touch and if so where?

I sent picture of how light looks when it hanging before goes back up. This is not picture of exact light but how it looks before goes in to position.

The other light is the light itself up off.

Can you get a closer photo of how you wired it?

BTW, black is hot, white is neutral, and green is ground.

It's hard to tell much from the tangle of wires in your photo, but I suspect that you've connected a hot wire to the fixture's ground wire. When you fasten it in place, the fixture is grounded, which causes a direct short, tripping the breaker.

The breaker is protecting you from a potentially fatal shock. For your family's safety, please leave the breaker to this circuit off until you can have the work corrected by a qualified electrician.

There's more to wiring than just matching the colors. There also definitely appears to be one white wire with a bare end dangling lose in there. What's that all about?

Yes better photos would be nice.
