Another project while under house arrest. This is another applique (my favorite) using batiks. The pattern is called Salamander Square by Karen Eckmeier from 2006. It calls for each salamander square to be about 6" but I don't like to work that small so I made each about 10". I like the way the colors worked out.
I quilted it rather simply but liked the pebble look since it reminds me of the desert where my daughter lives and where it's being sent soon.
