I've found a lot in Home Depot, but you have to go in prepared to repurpose what they have for what you want. Sometimes you find a solution using something in an unintended way (i.e. don't limit yourself to "storage items"). I bought some "Metro" style open wire shelving for my pantry, and I've used plain old S-hooks and carabiner-style connectors to hang things from the ends.

Without knowing the specifics of the material and size of your shelves, it's hard to recommend specifics, but you can also look at under-counter or hanging baskets (which eitherslide onto the shelf or counter, or hang from a wire edge) and storage items that are made to hang from a rail (but you might be able to hang from a shelf (Ikea has some neat things).

I, too, have Metro-style shelving and have S hooks to hang things from on it, as well as some Heller-style baskets that can hang on to the shelving.

I picked up some shelving on local marketplace, not sure what it's called but the seller referred to it as Costco-type shelving, and I've used carabineers to attach things.
